omg i im so bad

Ok i just made me a sword to +10 was gona try out..it on a silver knight and guess what i died i cant handle a sword halbard and spears are my song...i guess i have no exp whit swords or claymors..

they seem harder to handle then a halbard...but thats probly just me...so im gona stick to spears and halbards next item to make is a fire gorgs halbard but first i need the gorghalbard agien and then fire ember...buts that is far in to the future planing

what sword? and what stats do you have?

im mostly faith build but its not my stats i just dont know where and when to swing it it opens me unguarded....for enemys to strike at me..gona need more practice....before i start using it...i made a long sword..

we are all bad when we start, I recommend you try every weapon you can and don't settle for the easiest,
remember that the fun of this game is how challenging it is so don't get stuck on the "safe" path, if you
get stranded there you will not evolve and you will eventually get bored too.

Swords in PvE are better for striking when the enemies guard has dropped or been broken, and backstabbing. They lack the stagger that larger weapons have so you have to be careful or you'll get caught open :p

yea thats what heppend cought off guard and pooooffff dead agien...but the worst thing whit swords is that i made me a Greatsword of Artorias and cant use it..makes me sad....but i will try and make some fights more whit my sword and c how it works out my longsword +10

Good choice for swords, I use one myself. If you do like it I recommend evening out your STR and DEX to get the most out of it. You may like the Silver Knight sword, it's really good and beats the longsword in terms of damage until STR/DEX are 36

The Greatsword of Artorias only starts to become good around SL200, and to focus a build on it you generally have to raise STR/DEX/INT/FTH to 40, compared to a say the Claymore you could pull it off with probably 30/30

ok thanks well then i save my Greatsword of Artorias in vault...well ohh if i need to boost my str and dex that much i will stay whit halbard and spear...for now becouse im not planing on killing the last boss and start a ng+ for a long long long time

I used to do sword exclusive but unless it's a greatsword you need to wait for an opening. I personally never use one without a sturdy shield and either wait for their attack to bounce off. With enemies I have fought a ton of I can sidestep/backstep to make them miss but still have the shield raised in case I misjudged distance. Take the time to go from lancer to fencer, you'll enjoy the trip.

From memory there are only three you can find before the Kiln, the first one guarding the Blue Tearstone Ring and two more in the Undead Aslyum upon your return. In the Kiln there are two who wield the sword and three more with the other weapons.

If you can find a mule to bridge our level gap (I'm 155) I have like twenty of them I think. Most other weapons you might wanna try too beside unique.

No problem! Let me know if you change your mind. I am actually going to be giving the game a rest with my last goal being giving away extras to anyone who can use them and donating to Mildred's shop. Hope you land one but if not you can seriously have three or five of the darn things for all I care

I have only really ever used swords got a man serpeant great sword +14 atm and loving it.

But on my first playthrough I pretty much used Drake Sword religiously until Anor Londo and then Queelags Fury Sword for ages. Found them good starting swords until I upgraded some others.

You don't need a mule, the lower of the two just needs to put his/her Red sign down and have the higher level summon them.
