Can you summon in New Londo Ruins? and also what about the Duke's Archives?

New Londo Ruins/ Duke's Archives Summon Question

Yes to both
New Londo: You have to go talk to Ingward who is located on a roof in new londo, assuming you have the lordvessel, he will hand you a key , from there all you need to do is locate the seal and drain the water , only after that will you be able to summon in the area. ( If you don't have the lordvessel he will not hand you the key , killing him will make him drop it)
Duke's Archives: You have to make it to the first room where Seath will kill you ( If you still have it , make sure to equip the Rare ring of sacrifice before entering the room , because you will not get those souls ans humanity back) After you will need to escape the prison , as soon as you leave the prison and enter the archive again , you can summon people. But , making your way to the bonfire first is recommended, where , depending on your soul level, you should see several summon signs.

There is a bonfire after the 2 boar when you first enter the archive , after that , there is one in the prison , and then when you re-enter the archive from the prison there will be one on a balcony inside of the archive, this is the one.
Also , what are you playing Dark Souls on?
