I'm stuck doing a lot of admin classes right now, I need to keep the old grey matter sharp. (This is also the reason for the amount of free time I can dedicate to the forums.)
    Personal or DkS related.

For instance, If somebody suffers a lightning bandit knife stab to the back, you would be dealing with both electrocution and laceration/penetration injuries.
The foremost consideration for me upon assessing the patient would be the condition of the spinal column - too high a break and they may stop breathing. The electrocution damage is done and while still part of the assessment and treatment isn't something you have to 'stop' as much as the bleeding and immobilization of aforementioned spinal column.
So, if the patient rises from being stabbed in the back, it is reasonable to rule out a spinal injury and assess for organ damage, next would be lungs or heart. Everybody gets a chest tube - period.
After that it's mostly packing and sewing.
The electrocution may result in permanent nerve damage and electrical burns which will be treated with a topical silver-impregnated antibiotic at both entry and exit locations. Debriding the wound will almost certainly be necessary.

    @ Serious_Much
Yes, I am. Well, I am trying. Currently going through pre-med in WA state.
Check out the Two Things You Didn't Know Thread.
Dark Souls might be the reason I have to quit med school, however.

As far as experience - I did two tours as a member of a surgical team in Afghanistan, so DkS-like injuries (burns, stabs, high falls, blunt impact, electrocution, etc) were actually common place.
I refer to this reservoir of knowledge as being a "Trauma Monkey" as I never had to do the detective work and trial/error treatment of the Medical side of the house (guys who treat diseases and disorders).

    I'm not hearing any questions here, people . . . .
Get any rashes that persist for more than 72hrs checked out by the nearest provider.

As I learned from what may or may not have been a basic first aid course related to lifeguarding, the electrical exit wound is typically on one foot or the other due to the nature of grounding, and can actually be the most dangerous wound when it comes to electrical injury. Amputating both feet at the ankle is the only way to be sure.

    @ befowler
The exit wound from electrical injuries isn't necessarily the most severe, it's simply the most repulsive. The foremost concern is if the heart was in the path of conduction (ie, entry in left arm and exit in right arm). You may lose a few fingers from the exit wound but you won't come back from getting your heart explodinated. Also, amputation is my recommended treatment for just about everything.

    @Maneater_Mildred
The rash is likely in an area of high contact with the burlap, simply pad that area of your face or the sack to alleviate skin irritation. This is of course after washing your sack in hypo-allergenic detergent to assure that it's not a histamine reaction.
Besides washing your sack and padding your sack appropriately, I recommend reducing sack-to-face contact until symptoms disappear.

didn't you know? Internal organs are made on a production line these days, and flesh is easily sewn up and restored.

Besides, a tad of estus and a few magic words will get you started on your way.

indeed, though it's much closer to yet another derivative of morphine, not advised for long term use.

No so long ago I found myself being mauled by several larger-than-me sledgehammers. The majority of my body is in extreme pain, with the exceptions of both of my left leg below the knee, my entire right leg, and my left hand, no of which will actually move or show any sort of response. I've been unable to actually move from my position for the past few days, and have been coughing and spitting out substantial amounts of blood daily.

    What would you recommended?
