The Gankers

I've been wondering this lately. Do they truly feel accomplished? Do they feel like they gained something besides souls and humanity? Do they even care? I once saw an entire team of flipping mask tank BKGA hornet ring users, so I doubt they need to level much further. So I just don't get it.

Me either dude, and its freaking annoying too, its like, oh your cool, you can 3v1, your too good man!

Some of them think they are helping protect others from invasions by taking up the invaders time.... They are mistaken.

All this talk on Gankers makes me miss Demon's. When I invaded a host with two phantoms, they usually took turns 1v1 me as long as I bowed.

Sadly, that is not the case anymore, now its - Take a soul spear to the face/get backstabbed WHILE bowing

LOL, if you bow to me ill kill you while doing it. But thats mostly when im invaded, and I tend to be alone when im invaded. (Also I don't follow the "Honor Code" here so don't freak on me for killing while you bow)

If the guy bow, why wouldn't you do the same ?
Are you afraid to lose if you fight "fairly" ?

I mean, if I'm invaded I'll just go into the fight so he won't have the time to bow and I'll beat him, no matter what.
But if he has the time to bow then I know it will be a fair-play fight so it's ok and I bow, I'm not gonna BS him when he bow, I'm not a coward.

alot of people that invade bow, then when another invader come, th same person who bowed is running to your back trying to BS you with his new blue friend. It happends all the time

I don't see the point in bowing and being nice to any invader. Yesterday i was in the Duke's Archives near the second bonfire as i attempted to reach the fire to rest i got an invader. I was low on Heal and had no estus flask left and my main weapons was almost dead. ( All game long equipment never breaks until you find youself in a deadly situation "Weapon atr Risk!!" ... Great. )

So i just grabbed some randome Weapon from my inventory. Having 15 Str and Dex limits my choice of weapons

So, he came for me and bowed, well I BSed in mid bow.

I mean seriously! Why should I be honourable to someone if I am in tight situation low on heal fighting with some random weapon while a **** crystal Archer Hollow desperatly wanted to show me his arrows? I don't want to be invaded while doing PvE, so I do everything to survive. If im looking for PvP I go into the forest or drop my Dragon Eye somewhere. Uh... yeah sure i could pull the cable

It happened to me some times, I had estus but the guys surprised me and didn't let me take a break so I just fought with practically no health.
It juste makes the game a lot more fun.

He bowed, that means he's 'fair', if you showed him you had no estus he may have let you kill that archer and maybe dropped a humanity to heal.
Things like this happened to me, sure... every player isn't like this but there's always a chance the guy is a good person.

Or maybe I'm just too naive.

"May have" is the problem here. Just because he bowed doesn't tell me how he fights. Cause a bow doesn't protect me against a lagstab and i got them alot from the wierdest positions ever.
Also as I said i was about to reach the second bonfire and if died I had to fight meyself throught the whole Archives again and i didn't knew anything about the shortcut.

Also the same goes when being summoned for PvE-Co-Op. If I can land a a free hit I WILL do it, because keeping the host alive has priority. What's more important for me than "fair" PvP-Fight in such situation is to get resummoned by the host, because I did whatever is neccersary to keep him alive.

Would be cool if the game had like two choices on screen:

Honorable play on or off?

If you trail a string in front of my cat, he attacks it. He will do this regardless of anything else he was doing, it is hard wired into his little peanut brain. I think gankers are like this, they can't help themselves. Even when I've had what seemed to be fair 1v1s going on in the forest, if in the fight I happen to pass by the host or another summon who supposedly was sitting it out, they will backstab me or hit me. It's like they literally can't help it, like my cat.

As a darkmoon, I already invaded people so much lower than my level, they could not even hit me for more than 100, so sometimes after bowing I leave one humanity and crystal out. But if they use any mask, havels or giants body or BKGA, I do everything to kill them no matter what.

As a dragon is diferent because you cannot see a dragon sign if you have a phantom in your world, which save me from gankers but not from BKGA hornets ring idiots

With some people, the fight officially starts after you bow. So, if you bow, grass, then buff, they'll attack you during the buff. But, if your grass, buff, then bow, they won't attack, until the bow is done.

It's not a matter of being afraid of loosing, more along the lines of me not wanting to be bothered with a person attempting to disrupt my game. Like I said before those unwritten PVP rules are extremely dumb to me and im not one to really go out the way to follow them. People whine saying its cowardly but in truth it's not, it's a person playing the game they want to play. No the way the general public wants the to.

If your alone, try playing in offline mode.

This^ I have said this before in defence of another member and got flamed to hell, different strokes for different folks. I don't understand why people can't get their head around the fact that people play the way they want to play.

I tend to play in hollow mode as I like to be summoned to rack up the humanities. But when im trying to beat some bosses then I play human form to get a person to help me out or summon an NPC if available. Im not complaining about invaders in the slightest. I accept the consequences of playing in human form fully, but it is kind of stupid when people bicker about how someone plays a game they paid their own money for.
