Do you have any suggestions on how I can see/recognise my remains located somewhere on the lava lake? It is not seeable!

Mess with your tv settings if you turn down the colour till it's almost b&w then mess with your contrast you should be able to make your stain stand out more. Maybe write down the old settings so you can set the back after.

Stain is always about 10 seconds before you actually died. Try to retrace your steps. That's all I got :|

if you move the move the camera angle so you are looking upwards the ground will flatten out and the lava glare won't be as bad, your stain should be visible as a dark blotch … hopefully

Yeah, Nybbles' suggestion is what I always did whenever I died near lava. Worked everytime o/.

You looking to reclaim your souls? Shouldn't there be a giant floating green orb that should be easily visible against the orange lava?

Well, the stain should be BEFORE the lava... but if this is pre-Ceaseless death lava the game might do something funny...

Yes, but it's almost impossible to see because of the lava.

If you're on PC there is a mod that can reduce the lava glow, but I'm on PS3 so I've never tried it.
