Lifehunt Scythe: How to protect oneself from bleeding?

Post by Micha369 on Sun Mar 24, 2013 3:21 pm

    Hello folks,

50 bleeding on the enemy and 40 bleeding on myself isn't that great weapon, isn't it?
However, is there a thing to equip that reduce this bleeding on myself?

    Thanks

    Best Wishes,

    Micha

One could use the bloodbite ring, for 400% more bleed resistance.
One could also use Red Blood Clumps whenever you're getting close to bleeding.

There's the bloodbite ring or the bloodshield. Both increase bleed resistance. But you really don't need those if you don't spam. Use it to build the bleed, once its higho n your end switch to another bleed weapon like a katana for example. Maintain your bleed that way.

I only have 210 bleed resist on my Dex build and i've never bled out when i use the LH Scythe.

As automancer said, you should build bleed with the scythe and then finish with other weapon like the katana or priscillas dagger.

^ Alot of players misunderstand the rate of bleed for the weapons. Like the Priscilla's Dagger for example. It does 50% bleed while some other weapons do 30% bleed. Many think that the 50% means that it bleed 20% faster but that's not the case. It is only 50% of bleed inflicted when the opponent bleeds out, not how fast the build up is.

The Priscilla's Dagger bleeds the most which is even out with its slow bleed buildup.

So knowing that, play around with bleed combinations and you won't need to spam.

It's much better to build bleed with another weapon than cause it with the LH as it does more bleed damage than anything.

Also bloodshield, always bloodshield. It's not that bad actually I quite like it (basically need it on my dragon to not go insane at every GT I see)

The bloodbite ring provides more resistance than the shield but if you don't want to waste a ring slot, the shield is the next best thing. But nothing beats the blood moss.

    Thank you for your help!

Sorry that my English isn't perfect. So could you just tell me what "spam" means here in this context?
    Thanks a lot.

^Spamming means attacking continuously in a repeated fashion. It's not wise to do it because players will parry you once they know you spam.

This is m own build that uses the LH scythe. I will switch the pyro flame to my gold tracer if i want to bleed people out easily. I also frequently switch out all 3 katanas for their different movesets and the Chaos Blade's bleed.
