When I'm in forest cov, most of the time it's dealing with the farmers. But 1 out of every 20 times or so it's some noob who is entering the forest for the first time and clearly has no idea what's going on. They're fatrolling around in starter gear, getting tangled up with the NPCs, etc. I try to just crystal out when I see this, but sometimes I'm so angry at the farmers that I take it out on these poor slobs. The worst one was when a guy saw me coming, panicked, and ran back and hid beside the stairs. I ran up the stairs and WoG'd him off the edge. I'm sure he had no idea what happened. I still feel bad about that one

...I think it's awful that I'm not ashamed of anything I've done. I don't use min/maxer gear since it's not very attractive for me. I don't gank since teamwork isn't my thing, and I don't usually backstab, since f*** backstabbing.

I have lured someone to a narrow bridge and Force spammed his body off it though. Does that count as sinking?

I've killed someone when they were buffing their sword. I have also done team forest stuff, but never spawn ganking.

When I was a darkmoon, I did all of the dirty stuff. I attacked (or poisoned) players already in combat with other creatures. But I've never spawn ganked.. that's a little too cheap.

... my sinkage was more for faliure, and not for going deep in the morally evil. Meh. Trees are worse than all you evils anyways. At least a few can appreciate and sometimes even like it. Me? I've got killed by trees over and over again. Except for ents, but those are not trees. their bush roots.

When I discovered I could spam backstabs with my Dex toon, I started to abuse it.

I now reserve the abuse for those who are fanatics of the Lightning Greatswords, and such.

I am in the forest covenant, and once was summoned (through wearing the covenant ring) to kill the host. Being that my sl is around 200, and the host was a lot less, the damage I dealt him was much more. I killed him but always regretted it after. I will only pvp when confronted with farmers from now on. Sorry to whoever that was.

Also, once while I was PVPing 1 on 1 and another phantom appeared midway and joined in, I cast Wog to create distance, but accidentally cast a 2nd one right after (chain wogs--very cheap in my opinion). Thankfully they killed me. But also can't get over it. Sorry to those 2 as well.

I sank so far that I "Booted" Shiva off the cliff side because I couldn't kill him. (Lvl too low)

I'm a bit new, but what is wrong with farming? And what's BB and what's ganking and spawn ganking? Also, why is the forest good for farming? Thanks in advance!

    Hey, welcome!

    • farming is boring, IMO.
    • BB - bottomless box. It also refers to the bb glitch.
    • ganking is jumping, spawn ganking is jumping as you spawn in a world.
    • Search YouTube for forest farming - you can get enemies to jump off the cliff, and they are worth a lot of souls each.

lol, I've done the exact same thing. There was this darkwraith who would hide behind those boxes at the top of the shortcut ladder, and wait for the host and summons to approach, then touch off a fire tempest. At low levels it's always a OHKO on the whole party. He did it to like 3 of my hosts -- I recognized the name when he'd invade but never be fast enough to stop the host from running into the trap -- so finally I did it back to him by rolling past and then touching off my own. I don't consider it stooping though, just fighting fire with fire

Very ironic indeed, The better way to deal with that problem was to not die at all. winking
@New person who was asking about Farming
Farming is considered cheap. You are forcing a phantom into a 3v1 on purpose, just waiting to gang up on him. It's very very dishonorable and, well, a*sholeish.
