Ive decided to try recording for youtube a playthrough of dark souls, and i wanted to make it sort of unique, so ive decided on a dual wield build. no shields are allowed so im gonna have to depend on my dodge and parry ability to make it thru the game. im just wondering what weapons would be good for dual weilding? i was thinking a claw in LH and uchi in the RH with a shortsword and rapier as backup.

Good left hand weapons - Parrying dagger, curved sword, hand axe, spear, crossbow, gold tracer
Good right hand weapons - pick whichever.

Anything in the right that scales with dex for speed as you do not need heavy two handed weapons. Something like a rapier.

Actually, it's usually a good idea to use a slow heavy weapon as your right hand weapon. That way you still have a faster left-hand weapon if you need a quick attack, but still have a slow strong one for when you need it.dsg78gaming wrote:Anything in the right that scales with dex for speed as you do not need heavy two handed weapons. That is a valid point but u might as well hold a strong weapon two handed to gain more damage, holding it one handed is useful only when you hold a shield in your left hand ready to block. All combos can work well but in my opinion speed in both hands can work well as its not energy sapping unlike using a heavy slow weapon in one hand sucking all your energy then not been able to pull quick combo attacks with the left as not enough stamina. My personal favourite style is two handing weapons and have a backup pyro in left hand.
