Love my +14 claws. Add a nice buff of pine, slb or dmb and they are devastating and very fast. Get in close and slash away. Plus the weight is only 1 which leaves many choices for a back up weapon of your choice should the need arise.

Because i am actually building a buid with claws and tested them i came up with some points:
>It seems that they aren't affect by walls and shields in terms of staggering so it is possible to force an enemy to keep his shield up or else he suffer some nasty bleed damage
>As small weapons, you will be in trouble if the enemy decides to suck up the damage and counterstrike if they have enough poise and even a small amount of poise is enough to prevent staggering
>They have a nice attack arc but very very short range and the hit detection PvE is strange
>You can only use them with one hand
>If equipped off hand you cant block but parry
>The damage isnt that good unless you invest some points in Dex

ive seen people kick *** with them and that rolling attack can catch everyone by surprise.

So, any tips? The short range of the Claws keeps spelling my demise, and I keep missing the rolling attacks.

Yeah theyre great and quite satisfying to dice people up with!
My advice would be to get to shiva in blightown and buy about 30 claws, then make
crystal +4 versions. They only last about 12 fights apiece but theyre basically a + 16, and all the extra damge helps, plus they can be buffed and dont require a slab.
As for tips, my advice would be to get at least 53 poise(the amount required to withstand a hit from a greatsword), get close, and try to get the first hit in along with 3 or 4 more after that. The important thing is to recognize what kind of weapon theyre using, and if youve got enough poise to take a hit.
Also, the poise threshold for curved g-swords and ultra g-swords is 55 and 77 respectively.

I m getting pretty good at it, use them yesterday in FC and its a fun weapon. Usually swap them with my great scythe. Now i m gonna use them all the time
