I knew that about the Piascas when it comes to backstabs, I just never bothered to riposte them but I thought it could work.
What's next? A backstab on a crystal golem, riposte on Sif, parrying Gwyn...?
It seems as though I'm always learning new things from this game.

You can parry/riposte all of the special R2's, except grants.

Haven't tried that. Forgot it exsisted, I don't have the dlc.
You just have to be within range of the weapons swing/thrust.

Yeah. Same as any other R2. Its useful avoiding wakeup if they're to dumb to dead angle.

Also, I always get freaked out about how you can backstab Boars. With a rapier it just looks... wrong.

You do know you can parry Gwyn right?
It's one of the most popular ways to kill him right outside of spamming dark bead, so yes I knew.
I admit though the first time I killed him I was using the full giants set to do it. It was epic but it took a while.

I have never parried Gwyn. I found him so much fun to fight, so difficult. Like the final boss that Demon's never had.

I can't parry Gwyn because I'm parry impared. Also, I thought Old King Allant was hard. The first time we fought I lost about 10 soul levels trying to kill him.

I was de-leveled by Allant as a white phantom... we then killed him and i got more souls than the host, even though we both ranked S. I think it gave me my level back in souls.
