Delayed Input Roll

Sometimes when I'm invading in the forest, the roll command can get delayed for several seconds before it executes. For example, I lightly tapped the button to execute the roll at point A- but it didn't activate, so I thought maybe I didn't depress the button hard enough- and then roughly 3 seconds of walking later my character suddenly rolls by himself.

I also just had a roll suddenly happen as I got up post-BS and got hit by a WotG I could have avoided. No idea when I input that command.

I can't have been the only one to notice this, right? Does anyone know how/why it happens?

Yeah, that's a bug that happens from time to time. As far as I know no-one knows why it happens or what causes it. It might go away after a while, happened to me too.

Ive had this happen quite a few times. I think the roll typically gets activated when you block, or use some other action. It never works to your advantage, thats for sure.

Input delay, your inputs queue up according to what action you did before-hand. Seems to happen on the Xbox more frequently than the PS3.

Not as bad as delayed attack input. Funny thing is, it happens in vanilla pve too.

It happens when using items too. There's nothing like chugging estus 2 or 3 secs. after you wanted to chug estus. Some once posted it has to do with lag, but it doesn't. I've had it happen offline.

Happens to me all the time on PS3. The weirdest one is when it doesn't fire until you input something else -- I've had characters idle for 10+ minutes only to roll the moment I try to move them, without additional input. I was getting the input delay to happen pretty regularly when I was playing around with backsteps, rolls, and resultant R1 attacks.

Weird , hasnt happened to me yet. Now , im scared...

Worst thing for flippy people.
