    Make up a word

Post by BIG TIME MASTER on Sun Mar 17, 2013 1:33 pm

Make up a word, give it a definition.

Buffundry- the ruckus, usually made by a drunkard, that one can hear through their apartment door during the early hours of the morning.

Stoopunplicity- that coma like state that can last from several milliseconds to entire minutes after you have awoken when you are totally incoherent and trying to figure out what dimension you are in.

Delashamation- A technique usually employed by mid-level bosses in which a responsibility intended for the boss is delegated directly to a subordinate, who will receive no credit upon job completion.

Gotten- It actually is technically a word, but it's faded out of use now.. I must have picked it up reading/watching shakespeare and stuck.

def- past tense of verb 'to get', to have received, found or achieved something.

"Looks like you've gotten yourself into a bit of trouble now"

Prantankerous- new word made up for the gremlins, an act (or person) of great prank esteem

Bargled- A state of extreme confusion that leads to vomiting

Yumdud- A girl who kisses good but is lazy in bed

Sloog- An honorary title given to those who successful don't hold a job for the first thirty years of their life, and also spend at least 72 consecutive hours a week on a couch, bed, or other reclining device.

Flamdiddled- when you try to flip a pancake and it flies apart in mid air because you weren't patient enough and flipped before it was ready and now it's just a big horrid mess.

Now the key to infiltrating the English language with these new words is to casually use them when appropriate. If somebody questions you about the validity of the word, act surprised that they haven't heard it before. Or, express that you are not entirely surprised as the word you used is typically only used in very elite conversation, and politely define it. That person may want to use their new vocabulary to impress their friends, and next thing you know you've got a new official word.

    Blaffletastatious!

    Example:

Bob- "I was jiddling my cat yesterday, and my wife shows up out of nowhere and accuses me of dubbleyuck!"

    Frank- "You were....what?!"

Bob- "What do you mean what? I was just jiddlin' the cat, so what?"

Frank- "What the heck is jiddling??"

Bob- "Are you serious dude? Do you have a GED. JID-DUH-LING."

This is without alcohol though. It's rare, but I've seen it with my own eyes.

Gorfleshnorts - The sound a person's throat makes when they snore and burp at the same time.

I have a tendency to try to make up at least one word per paper I write. They all sound like real words though. I like to see if I can get them past my professors. Usually I do.

Lol, I did that when I was in high school.

Also, sometimes when I had to read aloud, I would verbalize the punctuation's. For instance, "The red dog ran down the road, period. Then, comma very quickly comma, he jumped into the pickup truck period."

I said them real quick and just a little hushed. Most teachers caught on to it quick and asked me why I was doing it, but I had one ancient old hag that let me read an entire chapter from a book that way before she either caught on or decided to say something.

That's really funny. That reminded me of something only loosely related that I haven't thought about in a long time. I used to have a high school teacher who was missing an ear. I'm not sure what the deal was, like if it was a birth defect or an accident or what, but there wasn't even a hole there, just weird misshapen skin folded over where it should have been. Anyway, because he was missing that ear he had a lot of trouble discerning what directions sounds were coming from, so we all used to make really subtle noises throughout all those classes, and he would get really confused and distracted.
