How did you kill Gwyn?

On your first playthrough how did you kill Gwyn? I doubt most people were able to parry, and so I want to here what cheap exploits you guys did. I had full Havel's and Iron Flesh You know, back when iron flesh was like this

I ran around like a mad man with the Great Scythe, just like I approached the rest of the enemies in the game.

Full giants set and a zweihander. I can't exactly remember what happened but I remember always timing when I would use the 2h r1 attack on him so I could get a stunlock.

Oh yeah I used a pyromancy flame and Queelaag's furysword. Boss weapons and pyromancies were so OP

I was a sorcerer with a dagger, so i cast crystal homing soul mass, it did 1/4th of his HP, then I desperately dodged for 30 seconds looking for another openin to cast it again.

Yeah this build is like the essence of Heavy Metal.

Full havel's with a +15 Black Iron GS for dat sweet fire defense and a greatsword for damage.

The first time I beat Gwyn I did it in the dumbest possible manner. Tanked him out.

I was a scared little soldier the first time I faced him. Had to use Solaire and a another phantom, and I was a faith elite knight then.

I played offline for fear of invaders on my first playthrough.I had heavy armour all the time.I sucked at dodging,I sucked at parrying and my shield was no good against fire.I ended up quitting for a month before I came back with a black iron greatshield.Then I went mad and bludgeoned Gwyn to death.

Lifehunt +5, heavy armor, strafing around a rock and luck

Quelaag's Furysword +5. I relied on that weapon almost exclusively from the time I got it (1st playthrough) until I discovered the power of sorceries (4th or 5th build).

Quelaag's Furysword (which was pretty much the only thing I used the second half of the game) and PARRIES FOREVER.

I haven't used the Furysword since, I still like it though, in a nostalgia kind of way.

Black Knight Sword +5
Black KNight Shield +5

I actually stunlocked him to death...you know...back when Greatswords could actually do that....

Am I really the only DeS vet that parried the everliving hollow out of him?

My very first time around, I used the dragon king´s axe´s- and the dragon greatsword´s special attacks. He is gone before they both break. And that was without the weapons being upgraded.

Now I just dress up in a full black iron set, armed with a black knight shield and parry every two hits.
With these equipment fully enchanted, he does next to no damage.

He handed me my *** the first few times then i heard of the parrying, went back to anor londo to practice parrying on the silver knights and then parried the crap out of gwynn.

I had a faith build with both lightning spear spells. I tried two, then went to work with my zwei and with the help of my co-op partner we got him 1st try. But, I'm sure the expression on my face when I saw double digit damage from the great lightning spear was priceless. :affraid:

Wearing +9 knight armor and silver knight shield and armed with a +15 claymore, I ganked him with the help of Solaire. I lucked out as Gwyn had it out for Solaire and I was pretty much ignored. Probably because he knew I was pretty lame and Solaire was the real threat.

I had full giants set, silver knight shield and a maxed out uchi. Then, I had Solaire pull aggro on him since I was a pansy on my first play-through

I had no idea he could be parried. So I went midrolling with a +15 longsword and Grass crest shield and 20 estus lol. Rolled for my damn life all the time and atacked when he did the kick or grab.
