by Hi all, I thought since I have been in this community for a while, I would share a few of my secrets... 
1. Hornet backstabs are your friend. A ton of damage?
Few seconds of invulnerability? That glorious animation where you take a slight pause before the stab? The overhead chop like you are cutting down an old tree? (big weapons) Whats not to like?!
2. POISE, you need POISE. Who gives a crap about dodging when you have POISE? With POISE you can POISE through an attack for that lovely backstab or keep plugging away with your own weapon...POISE.
3. Stunlock!! Shields are for wimps, parries are HAX, grab that gold tracer / zweihander in 2 hands and MAKE IT COUNT! Youll master the art of stunlock with some practice. 8)
4. Strength in numbers!
Whats better than a poised gold tracer massacre? TWO OF THE BASTARDS! Ruining other peoples game can be a real social event that brings people together =)
5. Gesture = opportunity!! If someone broke into your house sporting a shotgun, then stopped to bow... Would you lower gun (assuming you had one) and bow back? of course you would, IF YOU ARE CASUL! Murder that silly bowing invader where he stands and point down at his beaten A$$! The REAL pros can do a short gesture, tricking the invader to do one back, and then... well you know what happens then.
6. Otherwordly conduct. Sometimes youll invade someone who is summoning red signs
for what appears to be organised fights, a 'fight club' they call it... "A cool idea" you may think. Ask yourself, did YOU get invited to it? :evil: If you didnt, it means the host hates you, and was MUCH cooler than you at school, ignore their crappy event and kill everyone. 
7. "Well what is it" Symbolizes everything you ever need to express in dark souls. There is no such thing as using this too much.
8. Heal!
Would you run around pve on bugger all hp whilst 20 hollows come to mash your face in? As soon as you get a free moment drink that golden bottle of life - the best lessons of combat are taught by the survivors 
9. Pinwheel masks! You ever had a long stare into the cold, ruthless eyes of the mask of the child?
The slightly surprised look of the mask of the father? 
Or perhaps its something more symmetrical for you in the mask of the mother? 
Wearing one of these is just as important as plugging your controller in.
10. The most important rule! Try your HARDEST to push YOUR way of playing onto others. "I play how I want to play" That is just a quote from someone who has not yet seen the light, but dont worry my child, there is yet time to save them!!
You need to be writing paragraphs of in-depth info on how they are WRONG and should adjust to YOUR playstyle. This could include forum posts whining about gankers, rage mail about hackers or falling out with as many people necessary to make them see - because gawdammit its your god given RIGHT to make these poor souls have a better time on the game!
