    Time for 100%

Post by Jester's Tears on Tue Mar 12, 2013 3:27 pm

It's been nagging me that i don't have Platinum on Demon's Souls.
I'm ACTUALLY gonna try to get everything i need for 100% now so me and the De's Wiki is gonna become BFFs in a few min.

TIME TO WASTE ALL MY TIME TO FARM THAT BLADESTONE AND EVERYTHING ELSE.

Happy NG+2ing, you'll need it for every Dragon God soul spells(and other things).

I got a little over 90%. I just got the ones for all unique weapons, all spells, all miracles, all rings, all trophies for killing things, and good ending. Then I just got whatever weapon upgrade trophies I could. I'm not even going to try to get platinum.

    Good luck to you. lol!

Good luck, I lost my patience after farming for bladestone after a day of farming.

    One day?

I started farming when I was home with my daughter for a month ( thank you family medical leave act) after she was born. Babies sleep a lot. Daddy got to play video games a lot. Two weeks. No other goal, no other game. Two weeks to farm that. To anyone who has complained about a trident in dark I always think to myself " go **** yourself"

I actually chuckled when I read the Dark Souls wiki and confirmed that all the slabs I needed were hidden somewhere and not random drops.

Edit: For a frame of reference, I think I went from sl 180 or so to mid 200s just doing the short run to kill theone skeleton repeatedly

I was a bit impatient when I was playing. I'll probably start farming for it again once I finish getting another Platinum.

lol. Sorry, shouldn't have come across like I was scolding or mocking.. Merely trying to drain Jester's enthusiasm and feed on his despair. In the end, my search for the pure bladestone was driven more by madness than anything else

You didn't actually come off as that mocking I just wanted to explain myself. I can relate when it comes to the pure bladestone, when the wiki sad "rare" I thought they meant it would show up after about 50 runs, not "it's practically non-existent".

This is no exaggeration......it went the way of the Easter Bunny for me. At one point I assumed it didn't exist. I had to look up a video on the internet of someone killing the same thing I was, in the same way and getting one to carry on. Even then I thought they might have cheated somehow. When mine finally dropped I was in such a routine I almost just started the run again not thinking about it. Then it hit me and I just held the controller as still as I could for a minute, staring at the screen. Not really believing the writing I was seeing

I can't wait for that to finally happen to me. I'm sure Jester can't wait either.

It kind of makes you think though, what's more satisfying? Killing the Flamelurker on NG+3? or finally getting pure bladestone?

    I'm going with the latter.

It was the single most gratifying moment in video game history.

Farming the skellie with PBWT raises the drop rate. Not much, but any little bit helps.
