That would prove NG+ only, unless I'm missing something. The best way I can think of would be soul yield from kills (common enemies would work, but the amount of souls from boss kills are more widely known). On the dark souls Wikidot for Gwyn is has the soul yield for NG, NG+, NG++ and NG 14. I don't know if you can find all the amounts if you research or if you'd want to. But, if you're recording you can document that a certain enemy, or boss is yielding progressively larger amounts of souls.

buy/get spells, miracles, pyromancies....
there are certain spells, miracles and pyromancies that can be obtained only once per playthrough, like: wrath of the gods, dark bead, homing crystal soulmass.... you know what i'm thinking of....
these can't be transfered to other players like boss souls or rings. if you get them even if you don't need them they can help you remember how many times you have played through the game.

If you have a spell/pyromancy that you can only get one time per run. (if you are running around the Burg with Great Combustion, either you skipped Tauros or you're in NG+)
