    Well said Steve.

And serious_much.... I hope this doesn't offend, but.... You have always come across as intellectual to me.

Never concern yourself with the irrelevant. I learned this recently with the observation of feminism and the many assumptions of misogyny in the gaming industry. All it does is bog you down and builds unnecessary barriers. No human can cope with the whole world on their shoulders so only focus on what's relevant to your life.

For more context he's a quote from another site I posted about sexism in the gaming industry.

    Spoiler:
I've decided now I'm no longer going to be part of these types of debates anymore anywhere. I've come to the conclusion from everything I've researched that it's irrelevant. It's irrelevant that a handful, and really mean a handful of gaming websites in the world allow a vocal minority have personal issues with the opposite sex (both ways, sexism is not exclusive to females), it irrelevant that game characters get created out of some influence from stereotypes and a vocal minority get offended by them, it's irrelevant that made up characters have out of proportion body parts and people get offended, It irrelevant that one sex is greater than another in a particular field like game development, it's irrelevant when in reality video games have no real impact on me in the real world as in that killing people online doesn't make me a killer, the same goes for playing games that some people might deem as sexist/racist, and it's irrelevant that people get offended if they can't play a particular sex because a particular video game is doing it as an expression of art.

Anyone who thinks there's some solution to this is deluded, there's no solution because that isn't the point here. This is about people calling for action on personal sensitive issues that most likely doesn't exist in their real world surroundings and more than likely has been built up in their minds out of fear.
There are so many things wrong with that post, but I'll respect your right to an opinion and to not enter into debates about it anymore. I just wanna say that you're completely missing the point on the feminist gamer movement.

Is this about that God of War: Ascension thing?

No the timing of that was coincidental. (Derp I just realized that I assume you were responding to me. See what I mean about assumptions. Also Todd Pappy revealed that a woman came up with that trophy).

I don't know much about GoW Ascension, but I think Steve was referring the issue in general, to which I replied.

And BTM, I'm not going to start a debate on your thread, and I think Steve said in his post that he no longer wants to get in one about it.

    Don't burn bridges.

The collective intelligence of the creature known as "a crowd" is equal to the square root of the number of people in it.

And, seconded Forum's advice (I have an offshoot of it). Intelligence =/= wisdom.

I'm very different expressing myself on here silly

I'm far more eloquent with written than spoken word.. Or at least I try to be, different faces to fit with different crowds I guess. When I speak I use a shed load of slang, i actually swear quite frequently (more than I should), and generally act more.. laid back and not caring about much. Which is kinda true but you don't see that side of me on here, just because you get a different mix of personalities on the forum than at uni silly

But thanks, thats actually a compliment happy

If you can't let go of something, don't hold on to it in the first place.

Try out alcohol, smoking, and drugs on your own. It is the best way to learn just how worthless and harmful they are. If you try them under peer pressure you are less likely to be thinking for yourself. Or just don't try them at all, ever, but it is best to come to your own conclusions.

Save your money. The things you think are important now won't be later, and you'll wish you hadn't wasted so much on frivolous things. Think of it like your first DKS character build, you probably wasted a ton of souls on skewed stat points and weapon upgrades. It is better to hold on to them until you have enough experience to make a better decision of how to spend them. In Dark Souls you get multiple save files, in real life you don't. Remember to always use caution and forbearance.

If someone wants you to do something that you don't want to do, do a half arsed job. They won't ask you to do anything again.

Fulltime house mum. But I think that it's the mission statement of most government departments.

    I worked for the government.

I imagine it is the same in a communist/socialist country. You are all motivated when you are new, but after time you learn that the only place that hard work gets you is tired and used up. You get tired of being a tool for someone else with nothing to show for it, so you start half assing everything so that you will be left alone.

Here's some advice I'm trying my hardest to follow myself: Unless you care about someone a lot, don't concern yourself with what their opinions about anything are and your stress levels will lower considerably.

Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.

If you have the chance to walk away from a fight, do so.

Always know that you are not less of a person than your boss, you are only a position under them and should give them the respect they deserve.
