by xMalevolence Sun Mar 03, 2013 4:37 pmRecently I've taken a much needed break from DkS (about 3 months) and I've just now started getting back into it. Now because of that I've forgotten numerous different events in the game (mainly when the events occur and what triggers them).
So I decided I wanted to make a new character, so I did, did my normal routine when creating a new character, which consists of getting all the items in the graveyard near firelink, firelink, getting the fire keeper soul in New Londo, and the fire keeper soul in Blighttown. All of this is normal stuff that I used to do when I'd create a character in the past.
But for some reason now upon going to Lautrec's cell, he's not there. So I say whatever he's probably at Firelink. I fight the Gargoyles, ring the bell, go down to Firelink, the bonfires out, Lautrec isn't there, Anastacia is dead. That's where I start getting confused. Thinking that the character was simply bugged I created a new one, did everything the same but this time upon seeing Lautrec not in his cell I instantly ran to Firelink. Same thing, she's dead, he's not there, bonfires out.
tl;dr, Lautrec is nowhere to be found, bonfire keeper at Firelink is dead.
Now in the past I always remembered the events as:
>Free Lautrec, he goes to Firelink
>He's then able to be summoned for the Gargoyle fight
>Ring the second bell without killing him in Firelink, he kills Anastacia.
This is obviously not how it is at the moment.
Can someone clarify this for me?
