Has anyone tried to do a dual wield light crossbow build, or maybe even a dual heavy crossbow? What about just using a sniper crossbow? If so, could you please tell me about what you did or even mugenmonkey it for me? My friend and I are starting new dedicated coop characters with unique builds and I decided this is what I wanted. I have a pure archer toon that is my main character, but I have not dabbled too much (really not much at all outside of messing around) in the world of crossbows. Help would be greatly appreciated and plenty of +1 for help are bound to go around.

If you intend to go the "Pure Crossbow" route your destined to receive 1000000 backstabs. With this knowledge, will you continue down this path?

That is why this is a dedicated coop build. I know phantoms will invade, but I will always have my friend around, and I do not care if I die. The point of this exercise is to have fun and use a build that is stupid and impractical.

i have a str toon that uses the heavy crossbow for coop and the smith hammer for a back up weapon, i use the leo ring with it and its prety good, here it is http://mmdks.com/1cfy i love the way it looks and with a leo counter you can get around 400-500 per hit if not more depending on your opponent's armor. if you really want a dual wielding heavy crossbow build i reccomend making a vit'end build since xbows dont scale with anything.

Keep the SL low since crossbows dont scale with stats. Light crossbows have the quickest recovery. Only keep avelyn handy if you want to punish someone trying to cast a spell. The sniper crossbow is the strongest but it takes about 3 seconds to shoot, plus 2 seconds or so to reload. So it's pretty hard to ever pull off in a fight.
And since dual weilding crossbows have no positive whatsoever and doesn't change anything, you could also just try holding the crossbow in both hands. It looks cool in it's own way.

I would go Light Crossbow + Avelyn
Since Avelyn is a bit slower the combo should confuse the timing at which your opponents dodge the bolts. You'll need fast roll to roll away asap so you don't get bsed.
