Tcc v Manus Catalyst Empty Tcc v Manus Catalyst

I have done a video comparing the differences between the TCC and the Manus Catalyst. It shows the differences of damage dished out for different spells, check it out:

Which catalyst do you prefer to use?

Nice vid. I remember someone posting those results before. Your vid confirms it, thanks.

I don't really see the Manus Catalyst being decent choice for soul levels below 130.

The reason is because its most optimal use would obviously be with Dark Magic. Dark Bead is the only spell that doesn't need a boost from dexterity. Dark Orb and Dark Fog do however. In which case increasing your int, dex, and str are too much of a burden.

Is there a bird squawking in the background? silly

On topic, 46 Strength/46 Intelligence for a minimal boost to dark magic just doesn't seem worth it. TCC is just more practical and plenty powerful in its own right.

Manus Catalyst is better than TCC at +40 Str/32 Int. If you begin to increase Int TCC becomes more powerful and Manus' feels like a waste in stats. I know this because at 27 Str/32 Int, Manus and TCC's Dark Orb does same damage. However increasing Str does minimal boost to dark sorcery damage, so you're really spending stats for your Str weapon, boost for dark sorcery is secondary.

Edit: On that build I chose TCC because of lower weight but will equip Manus' as I get to SL 120.

The manus is a high level characters plaything only. It is too heavy in both actual weight and stat requirements to be viable pre-level 300. However, it's more then a 20% increase in DPS at 99 strength and 99 int. I don't believe it's more efficient until you have an unreasonably high level though, because due to the weight, strength, and int requirements to be -better- then TCC, it's just so absurd.

At lower levels, TCC. It requires less stats to max out damage. But, the Manus's R2 is pretty damn cool.

I do not use sorcery much, but on the toon I do use sorcery, I switch between TCC and Logan's. I just really like logan's, and considering I have not invested as much as I should in attunement, TCC usually becomes an emergency last resort kind of thing.

Huh, so the Manus Catalyst is good? I wouldn't know, because I always go for Pursuers. Tcc v Manus Catalyst 3358384175
