    The path of the dragon

Post by Richas123 on Sat Mar 02, 2013 5:46 am

so im considering going for th epath of the dragon covenant,
but before i sink in the time to get dragon scales i want to know the statistics.

i know the melee damage is increased, but i was wondering if its the same for miracles, pyro, sorcery, and if so how nuch

i also wanted to know how much damage fire breath does and how it scales(main question), and finally how much AOE damage does the roar do

    Thanks for the help happy

I wish I could answer this precisely. The fire breath, I think can do around 100 damage per mini-hit, and the roar, if I recall dosen't do damage, but staggers people. I'm not sure if this increases anything else either, but the melee power stacks with any type of buffs which you already have on.

The damage of your fists is increased when using the dragon torso stone (the moveset is also change, IMO the ordinary one is better than the dragon one).
The damage of sorceries7pyro/weapons/miracles is not increased. However the dragon roar gives a ~35% boost (at rank 3, it's lower at other ranks) to all damage for a duration when you use it.

The dragon roar does not do a lot of damage. I can't remember the specific number, but it wont be very useful later on in the game. It doesn't scale with anything except for your rank in the dragon covenant.

And finally, the roar doesn't do any AOE damage, it's like a force spell that is used faster, can be cast infinetly (altough it uses ~100 stamina for every use) and gives you a damage boost for a short while.

The thing about dragon form is that the powers are mainly designed to stun and stagger. The dragon breath attack stunlocks enemies very quickly because it does so much poise damage over a very short period of time. The Dragon Breath is actually better at close range because it tracks better the closer you are to your opponent.

The buff the roar gives doesn't last very long but the force of the roar can deplete a LOT of your enemy's stamina if their shield is up. If their shield is down it staggers them a little but they have enough time before you can attack to get away. If your fighting a dragon who does the good ol roar-strike combo, make sure you keep your shield lowered when approaching them.

Dragonbreath damage scales with cov rank, roar doesn't scale at all.
