Fire surge isn't reasonable.

So my level 50 build has been using fire surge... and actually... I think if paired with some poise this is overpowered on a proper pyromancer.

Fire Surge does 140 damage if you have elf ears, the ring, and power within on. Blocking with Havels Shield resulted in it still doing 15 damage a hit.

That means if you block it, you take 1200 total damge from 80 casts.
You must drop your shield to roll away, and at least 2 casts must hit you before your roll can begin, so that's another 280 damage, then 15 for every 0.15 seconds it took you to decide to do that. can't backstab them, can't out DPS it, and can't evade it. It's *** ridiculous. The only winning option vs that is to not play, or if the person doesn't know to unlock, to strafe in a giant circle forever : P

I see no problem with it since I haven't run into anyone who used it properly yet. If one of ten thousand use it properly then that one should be rewarded.

It's probably one of the best things in the game for creating distance, I like to use Fire Surge to make em back off and then switch to fireballs and rain down some flaming death!

Flame Whip: Better known as "120% of the damage of great combustion, can hit twice, and has four times the range". Don't use lockon and you can kill quite a few people by re-aiming at the last second with that beauty.

I can take out 3 gankers with 1 cast quite easily.

firesurge its awesome. What it makes it so good is that people normally ignore and preffer to tank the damage, waiting for the "true" pyros to come. I've met a few good pyromancers who destroyed me from very far away
