    Cleaning up the kilin

Post by PPG-3- on Fri Feb 24, 2012 11:45 pm

So I was sick the last 2 days. So what I decided to do was equip the miracle boost ring and wrath of the gods, 6 casts. Went down to the kilin and put down my red soapstone. 90% were framers. Attacking at spawn. Twop and the clown getups. I am happy to say I frustrated the he'll out of a good numbers of farmers. They would continue to summon me with different tactics but the outcome was the same. I'm sure I made them throw their controllers. Afterwards I would message them with phrases like "go play skyrim" or "go play unchartered".

If we can get more people doing this we can get these people to retire. I will continue on. As I personally enjoy fighting there.

But what if you encounter some players with honour? Do you use the WoGs against them?

Used to run around like that in Demon's. Clean out the jumpers, the legits just give em your back and the free kill/humanity as a reward for doing it right.

That wouldn't work on me, because my controller still has it's Circle button. But I'm not a farmer, so I don't think you would need to use such a tactic like that on me. Trust me, I suck at PvP, but I'm pretty good at countering the cheap tactics. Killing farmers is easy to me, killing a duellist one on one, now that's hard.

For the legit match ups of course I keep those dirty tactics shelved. And I'm happy to say I did have some good matchups and a solid impromptu tourney. The kilin can be great for pvp. Just gotta clean it up. That's all I'm saying.

I did this for a little bit in the forest as a darkwraith. I was annoyed that I always got gang banged while spawning on the stairs, so I equiped 6 WoG, ring of the first born, dusk crown, and the red tear ring. I then reduced my hp before invading to activate hypermode. It's effective, but it's also incredibly boring.

Things have to get worse before they get better.
    I think that's a quote from a batman movie.

Lol, things have to get boring before they can get exciting? I ultimately ended up following Maneater_Mildred's advice and invading on the other side of the forest so that I wasn't spawn attacked. I actually kind of like 2v1 and 3v1 when I have some room to maneuver.

I can't remember whether you can invade on the other side of the kiln. Does anyone know? If so, perhaps that's a less boring alternative for dealing with gangbangers.

3 spawn locations. The usual gank spot, on top of the broken pillar in front of the 2nd black knight, and at the bottom of the spiral stairs, in front of fog gate.

So it is written! If I ever return to the kiln, I'm invading at an alternative spot. If someone wants to duel, they'll have to wait a small amount of time while I run over to the platform. If they want to 3v1 gank, they'll have to fight me on the beams with the black knights!

By the way, thanks for the forest advice Midlred. My forest invasions are about 357% more fun now.
