Is anybody else exceptionally lazy or a big procrastinator in real life but have god-tier concentration and willpower when it comes to Dark Soul?

Not me, I'm as lazy in DS as I am IRL. That's probably why I progress very slowly in PVP. What's strange is I could play it 24/7 without getting bored at all, as long as it doesn't fell like working.
Yes, what makes me lazy is the work needed to improve.

Don't worry. We'll get to it tomorrow.

Yeah pretty much, I think this game is making me a bit more motivated though.

Re: I'm wondering
I'm in the middle ground somewhere in both Real Life and Dark Souls. Too lazy to go grab Havel's ring for the longest time, as well as too lazy to finish my paperwork for Financial Aid, even though there's a chance I'll get some.

Re: I'm wondering
I can procrastinate quite a bit when it comes to things that I don't think matter. It really isn't because of Dark Souls though, as much as it is the fact that I just don't take things seriously as often as a I should.

Re: I'm wondering
Here's something interesting: procrastination is often not the result of laziness, it's usually a psychological problem where you associate your actions and their results much more strongly with your personal worth than most people do. Apparently, it makes people more likely to put things off for fear of decreasing their own self-worth.

Re: I'm wondering
I have excellent concentration in anything I thoroughly enjoy, as expected of everyone, but when it comes to Dark Souls I reach a new level of concentration. My learning curve in this game was so exponential that I think I broke the laws of physics. I would consider myself a hardcore gamer only because of Dark Souls. When it comes to how I feel about other games you'd think I was someone who thought video games were a waste of your time.

I know what you mean about the learning curve. You pick up on patterns and adjust your actions more accurately after DkS. You learn to go from getting your *** handed to you, to parrying 99% of silver knight attacks and just doing it for **** and giggles. Then it gets boring. Then, you discover challenge runs

Twiddling your thumbs and pressing buttons while on your *** is still considered lazy.

You're right. Perhaps motivated would have been a better word.
