    Question about darkroot garden.

Post by Avenger649 on Sat Feb 23, 2013 3:50 pm

Right, today I was doing darkroot invasions with a level 55, I started looking for the host and got to the fog gate just right of the gate which needs the crest of Artorias. I went looking for the host and after a while he summoned witch beatrice, however the fog gate to the right of the crest door was still up, he then proceeded to challenge the boss.

Does anyone know how this is possible and moreover if there is a way to get to the moonlight butterfly fog door without going through the fog gate.
This was on Ps3 so i can probably rule out hacks.
Thanks for any information in advance.

You mean you got into the pvp area, but the host was in the area where you have the butterfly boss? If so, you can drop down from the pvp area to where the hydra is. Then you can proceed going upwards and eventually get to the butterfly. If the host gets invaded or has summons, then he can't go back to the pvp area

Not quite, I was in the area between the undead parish and the bonfire in darkroot garden, the host was in the area with the moonlight butterfly/where you get the elite knight armour.
However the fog gate that separates the two areas was still intact.
I was asking how he got from the bonfire to the boss area without going through the fog.

You can drop down near to where the Wolf Ring is. A Darkmoon can still go through the fog gate. As a DW though you'll have to drop down also.

^Yeah, you can drop down near the wolf ring, or the rock containing the Large Soul of a Nameless Soldier behind it. That'll land you in the opening between the two 'living' trees, with the lone frog-ray.

if you drop next to the rock with the soul next to it you can bypass the fog gate, but dont ever go through that fog gate the wrong way or else you end up falling through the map for 5 min
