I create stories in my head that I think everyone would love. I just can't put them on paper! silly

I want to learn some Martial Arts, but I haven't the time or money. College is a... helpful and useful educational experience.

Why not share your stories here? This isn't paper, you know. happy As Skarekrow said, you can self teach yourself Martial Arts, although it isn't easy.

It's super easy to get into. There's tons of tutorials. And although I use the premium stuff (I dropped 200 on the yoyo used in the video) you can get a yoyo that plays very well for 10$ If you would like I could PM you some links to get started.

That pen spinning thing was sweet. I tried it once, but I gave up after like 20 minutes of sucking.

I like to analyze films I see and review them for people. That's just a little hobby of mine. Alongside that I love the field of theology and constantly research religions when I can as well as sort of interview people of varying religions that I meet to learn more about their personal beliefs. If I wasn't such a poor person and a coward I'd love to travel the world and just go to monasteries and such places just to learn from such people.

You'd be America's answer to Michael Palin, Tolvo. lol

On a serious note, maybe you should start up a professional movie review thread. I know that at least I'd be interested in reading some of your reviews.

Pen spinning isn't all that bad, it's all about finding the balance between different pens. I can only do a simple spin, but as soon as you find that sweet spot it's all about figuring out your finger work to not block the pen and catching it after.

Those who can't stand critique shouldn't post their work publicly.

Also, I forgot to mention that the past 3 years I've really taken to cooking. I love making delicious food that looks great.

    Foodie alert!

And Tolvo, that's nonsense. I personally prefer more critical reviews anyway. I'm pretty hard to please when it comes to movies, especially new ones.

The more I see the :dung: released every day, the more critical I get when it comes to media. We need more critical reviews!

As far as hobby's go, I used to be a talented Piano Player, not quite concert level, but pretty damn close, I'm not as good now, but I can still tickle the ivory alright.

Would you count cooking as a hobby? Even though it's neccessary for starving students such as myself to survive? silly

Cooking is totally a hobby! You get to work on delicious works of culinary art to calm your mind of the stresses of the day AND provide your belly with happiness. Win win if I do say so myself.

Well, I play fighting games a lot; sometimes in tournaments. I also play guitar (for about 11 years now.)

But really, I like personalizing things. I don't care much for having things that everyone else has, so I like to customize stuff to my liking. I do the work when I can, but there are a few things I've had to hand over to other folks.

    Examples:

Here's my Pride and Joy(stick). I don't use it as often as other fight sticks that I own, because I don't want it to get wrecked, but it's awesome and can be used on any platform, really.

    Spoiler:

Here's the backside. Plexiglass so you can see all the wiring.

    Spoiler:

And here's my guitar. Family heirloom of sorts. 1981 Washburn A-10. Given to me by my father -- It was his first guitar. It used to be electric yellow with black trim, but I spruced it up a bit. Now it's Pearl White with blue powder flakes (hard to see in the photos.) No more trim, but I replaced all the hardware with chrome parts and put new humbuckers in it to match the white color. Added strap-locks. The new volume knobs are chrome with a blue stone fitted on top to match the blue flake in the paint.

    Here's a full body shot:

    Spoiler:

A close-up of the front hardware:

    Spoiler:

I tried to snap the blue flake because it looks awesome. Tough to see it here, though:

    Spoiler:

Oh, and I'm also a writer. Love to write. Went to school for it, even. As evidenced by the pictures, I'm obviously NOT into photography.

    Thank you!

I've owned a few over the years, but I keep going back to that one. I don't know if it's sentimental value or just that it plays like a dream.

I tried yo-yoing, but I couldn't catch on. It seems like pen spinning was a bit more natural for me. I'd suggest to those of you who wouldn't mind giving pen spinning another go to make your own pen that is balanced for spinning. It really helps once you get used to it.

I can do around half of the things in the video I posted, but still have trouble chaining some of it together. It really takes a lot to get that good, but I'm determined to do so one day. silly

I play guitar... a lot of guitar. Been playing for about 15 years now, but just recently got really into it... to the tune of about 4 hours a day of practice. I'm in 3 bands, an electronic duo w/ a drummer where we do live improvised looping, an acoustic duo cover band, and an 8 piece horn band. Doesn't leave a whole lot of time to play games anymore and is the main reason I stopped playing Dark Souls as much... just not enough time left in the day to get better at guitar. Life almost revolves around it now, but it's been a positive impact on my life.

Here are some clips of my funk horn band:

Here is my electronic duo (these are old, pre-4 hour practice days):
