by Henkyona Sat Feb 16, 2013 8:46 pmI find it curious that it took them so long to get Demon's Souls on PSN, I wanted to get Dark Souls for my PS3 again because mine broke *gasp* I know a Blue Ray stopped working trust me I am just as surprised as many of you probably are, but my Game Stop nor Walmart have any copy's of it, so that is why I am asking also what are your opinions on one of the best games in the past decade not being on PSN?

Probably because demons souls was a Sony exclusive. But i think if they make it downloadable, they'd have to pay money, or something. And pay both Sony and Microsoft. And Microsoft is super expensive unless it's an exclusive.

I know I will probably get murdered for asking this but is Demon's Souls worth getting at this point, I tried to play it in the past but got my arse kicked never even beat the Tower Knight lol.

Yes. If nothing else for nostalgia alone. I dont know how active the pvp will be in the future, but people say its at least okay right now.
Demon's Souls is a great game in its own right, but dont expect to be "wow'd" after playing Dark Souls for awhile.

I could've sworn I read like a year ago that the demons souls servers were 'switched off' and you couldn't play online anymore :S Seeing plenty of vids on youtube to the contrary.

I actually just bought Demons Souls, since I have never been able to play it because I have an xbox, but luckily my gf's ps3 is up and running again.
I just defeated the tower knight demon, he was quite easy when I knew what to do^^ But yeah if you can't play dark souls, then you cant go wrong with demons souls. Its a bit rougher around the edges, but still a great game. Have not tried pvp or co-op(tried to summon one but failed) but the servers are still up, at least in Europe.
Anyways the game is pretty cheap so it would not be a big loss if you cant get into it

The PvP scene has been quite active recently since the re-release on the PSN. I'd say they did so because stocks are running low on DeS? I mean, it came out in 2009. It would be hard to find it in most game shops. Dark Souls on the other hand is still running strong and you can easily find it anywhere so there's no need for it to be on PSN.

It was schedualled to be be shut down 2 or 3 times, but they decided to keep it running.
I heard a lot of people still play it online. I've only met 3 of them, and I played it for a few months. I kept placing my sign every chance I got, but rarely got summoned. Then the 2nd guy that summoned me showed my why the multiplayer ranking system isn't in Dark Souls.

I finally found the post I made.
This reminded me of when I got summoned in Demon's Souls, which is a very, very rare occurance for me. It was for the Adjudiator, a morbidly obease guy made of bulbber. We took the long way to him.
When we get to the gold skeletons I cast warding. I take out the first one, then I take out the other two before the spell wears off, and this was all by myself.
Then we fight the boss. I'm meleing him. The host is casting soul arrow or soul ray. The host is hitting the body and not the bird, so he is doing no damage. However, I get the Adjudiator to fall down on his face so I can beat the crap out of the bird. I do this two more times and the boss dies.
There is a multiplayer ranking system in Demon's Souls. Each player gives the other a rating. The rating is the same as weapon ratings. The host gave me a D. Who took out the gold skeletons and boss all by hisself ? Me!
Now I know why this rankning system was not put in Dark Souls.
Also, I gave the host an A, but then regreated it when I saw what he gave me. He did well against the other enemies.
There's what you may have to put up with. Don't rank them until they rank you.

Just bought demon souls, enjoying so far but hard to get used to after dark souls
