Just thought about this, and then thought, "That sounds amazing!" It would work in the way that an Invader would invade in the Catacombs via Red Sign. The host has time to find a hiding place, and if they think the Invader is going to find them, they can then run to a new hiding place, and so on. And if they are caught, it is a deadly consequence...
Another way of doing it is the same way, only the Invader is the one hiding. The mobs would stay alive, therefore not giving away the Invader has been there, making the game harder. But the same consequence would follow.
