starting with 2 red chunks ?

i just started a caster based character to play with and as sooon as i started on the screen before i was even able to loot the key from the body i was presented with 2 red chunks ????

BB glitch? That will sometimes kill the 2 knights that are there when you return.

and now the knight is not behind the wall after ball smashes through!.....

getting wierder !!!!

Save and reload will give you the gear he was ment to give you.

ya i did that.. but a wierd start to the game... i thought i was in hardcore mode or something then... no estus... so once your done your done !

what are you trying a pure caster or you just trying out a mage or something?

it basically makes early game way harder and late game a lot easier. It's good fun though honestly stick with it

I disagree, mages make the entire game easy mode for PvE. You start out w/ 30 casts of soul arrow which will take care of the entire asylum pretty easily. Once you get to firelink you can buy another 30 soul arrows and heavy soul arrow from the blacksmith in New Londo. 60 casts of soul arrow + 20 casts of heavy (or whatever the #) and you can easily take out the first 1/4 of the game w/out even trying, especially if you're pumping stats only into int and 'maybe' vit.

You're basically a glass cannon and the only real hard part is the capra demon until O&S. Mix in some pyro after the burg, co-op the gaping dragon until it's maxed and you've got a very powerful early game caster that should never even get hit.

I was trying a Mage style character as one helped me in ng+ with o+s and they totally cleaned up. They shot a large blue spell which was doing 1k+ each time

The glass canon does kind of appeal to me with the damage output as most of us like big numbers however the play style is not my kind. I will give it a bit more of a go and see. If I do like it then I will start fresh and give it a good crack.

Sorcery will be way easier for ya. Better buffs and self spells, faster and longer range... Only problem is that it is the most expensive in terms of spells, but once earned it is smooth sailing.

Yep, the chunks and the missing Knight are regular "features" of the BB glitch.

Hmmm....this sounds pretty fun actually. Although without a weapon one would be better served by a high dexterity (faster casting) than high endurance (pyro takes no endurance).

....I think I might try this.

I did it so that I can wear my favorite armor and roll like a boss without the flipping ring. That is why I put so much in endurance.
