    The most horrifying tactics ever

Post by User1 on Sat Feb 09, 2013 6:28 am

I have recently experianced some terribly annoying tactics, when invading, such as:

    • When I spawn in the Painted world to invade, the same host is stood there, and does 2 handed DKGA attack, and usually hits me off the bridge.
    • The host had 4 PHANTOMS! And they just ganged me with Pursuers, while the host just ran off.
    • The person I had invaded used 12 uses of WotG to kill me.
    • People I invade sending me messages that say nothing, and then Hornet Ring backstabbing me.
    • The host was begging me for items, and they were in NG+. (Not really a tactic.)
    • In the forest, the host had yet again 4 phantoms, and they were camping outside Alvina's place. One had a DS Greatbow, the other was running at me, Gold Tracer and Ring of Fog on, the next had their Dark Bead ready, and the final one was a tank with full Havels and BKGA. The one with the DS Greatbow shot an arrow at me when I was going for Gold Tracer guy, the other two run at me, and kill me instantly when I get up.
So irritating, every one of them.

The most annoying tactic for me to fight against is when someone only pokes and rolls with the Balder Side Sword. I have more trouble against that thing than spear flippers since the BSS can easily do 2-3 times the amount of damage. Not to mention they will sometimes give themselves over 90 poise.

The next one really gets on my nerves as well, and it's when someone spams parry until no end. Until the point where I can't even attack you head on. It makes it even worse when I get hatemail after when I kick them so much or I decide to backstab them.
"You need a different tactic than only kicking/backstabbing." Look Skyward

Damn, that sounds horrible! I hate the hypocricy at the end. I have had a similar message when using my Dark Silver Tracer. I know your pain against the 90+ Poise BSS spammers. They're everywhere.

EIiitti and Spades have done some nasty backstab tactics against me.

One trick: Stunlock me and when I make my toggle escape they quickly cirle for the bs (after this backstab they can also chain a wake up attack of their choice)...the dmg of that combo is something that pretty much seals the deal.
You can't really make a single mistake against these guys in a duel if you are planning to end up winning.

Seems like a story of 2 people, who don't have the skills to get kills themselves, and have to use cheap tactics to have any chance of winning.

I still haven't had the honor of fighting Eliitti, but I remember fighting Spades on my first day of trying to PvP. I lost so badly that his Gamertag was ingraned into my mind, but I felt better after I found out how good he was.

Oh no, they're good. They just use every tactic available to them regardless of how others may view it.

Haha, Spades and EIiitti are my homeboys <3 big grin if you wish to duel EIiitti just send him a message and I'm sure he would cook up some duels with you, his GT is EIiitti (note that the "I" is capitol "i") he is not as scary as his reputation, haha!
Maybe you could take part in our low level guerilla warfare happenings, there are many good players signed in for that (Zangiefkid, Big Tata, Leftoverpie, EIiitti...) if you are interested, you can ask more info from EIiitti happy

Four phantoms? That's some fancy XB hacking. I've seen some pretty bad **** too, but yours are more literally annoying than the mental and emotional annoyances that I, and I'm sure most DkS regulars have had plenty of.

The wrost thing i face in the PvP is when someone invade me and keep run until another phanton invade me too and also run into the enemies. And worst, use various WOTG.

I've faced one of these today in Annor Londo, his ID is [snipped].
    A coward!

Not that i'm the best player in teh world, but, if you invande don't run away.

how about no. invaders don't have a guide line to follow, they play the game they want, just like you do.

Calling out specific ID's to slander is a no go here. Everyone deserves a chance to defend themselves and they can't if they don't know they are being spoken of.

sure some stuff might tick people off.. but i doubt dark souls would be as entertaining and in depth as it is if it was as restricted as some people want it to be.

from wanted to give the players choices on how they played their game. they probably knew not everyone would agree with all of them... but to bad, they did it anyways.

Ahaha epic indeed. Makes you wish Dark Souls was card carrying, and you could toss that upon the vanquished in lieu of a gesture.

Do you know of the trick where you walk a little back and to the side of a player attempting to strafe and backstab you and you end up behind them and backstab them? A lot of players used to used that on me as an attack rather than a counter. Back then I couldn't defend from it-it was basically a guaranteed way to backstab me.
