We must create a new verb

Post by Kyōkai on Fri Feb 08, 2013 6:00 am

So I've already lurked around on the web, but I thought I might as well make a topic about it here:

Do you read or play visual novels (if you do either or both in the first place, that is)? Do you do both? Do you go back and forth between playing and reading?

I for one just say that I play visual novels rather than read them when chatting with someone who I think would probably think "manga" or "comic" the second they hear/read the words "visual" and "novel". Vice versa when chatting with someone who I think probably won't misinterpret what I'm saying.

Do you make choices for the character, or simply have the story go a specific way and you have to view it.

    If the first, it's play.

    If the second, it's read.

I agree with Tolvo so long as he doesn't go Adjudicator on my ***.

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
