    Being(Becoming) a Dragon isnt easy! Vit/End/Resi Build

Post by SenSen on Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:54 am

    Hello there =D

I'm thinking about one of the strangest builds possibly known to man. But while doing some theory crafting I run into some problems with my idea of the build.

First the idea was something like:

    Vit 40
    Att 23
    End 40
    Str 15
    Dex 15
    Resi 40
    Int 8
    Faith 20

At first I thought resistance might be a good idea because I cant wear any armor while being transformed. But I read some bad things about resistance like being almost useless...
So here I count on your experience/opinion whether I should stick with that amount Resistance or drop some for more Vit or Faith.

The next thing is the high amount of endurance. I planned to use elemental claws as weapon for PvE and PvP. (I don't get it how much the Dragon Torso Stone affects the damage of bare hands).

Anyways, do I need THAT much Endurance? I did some math and even fully equipped (main+Off Hands) in don't even break the 10 Equip Load.

(Planning on Bloodshield and/or Grass Crest Shield and/or That HP-Regenerating-Thing-Shield)

About the 23 points in attunement; I plan to use a lot of Pyromancy and still having a slot free for spells like Magic Protection and Heal.

Also I'm not certain which rings I should use... Steel Protection and Sparkled Stone Ring are the first I can think about but Wolf Rings seems also to be a good Choice.

So please feel free to rant about this build and provide some suggestion. =D

Sorry for my bad english: Anyone who finds mistakes might keep them =)

Dragons although cool looking seem pretty weak cant really give advice other then I would go with wolf ring so you dont get stunlocked with lighter weapons.

At higher soul levels there is less of a return when putting points into resistance, but as long as you put the points in early, you will make out in the long run because points in resist early are almost double.

I hope being level 35 isn't already to much for getting something out of Resistance

The torso stone gives your bare handed attack a huge boost, and the roar stacks.

You can roar, break someone's guard, and do 700+ damage with the bare handed attack.

....you are still squishy though, lol.

With 99 humanity my Dragon has a physical defense of 172

If you bring your Attunement and Faith down, and bring your Dex to 40, that was the EXACT build I was making.

Unfortunately research did show me that Resistance is ACTUALLY useless. It's diminishing remains goes with your level, not the amount of Resi points you took. So once you get your character to a high level (example: 120) the resistance is almost nothing... It's quite sad. Put more into Vitality instead, it'll keep you alive longer. And for PVP try wearing the Speckled Stoneplate Ring.

Brining Dex up to 40 doesn't make any sense in this build. First as I said im using elemental claws which dont scale with any stat. Same goes for bare hands and Pyromancy.

Attunment is also out of question. I want does 6 Slots for throwing Fire balls all over the place.

Faith MIGHT be an option depending how reliable "Karmic Justic " is. If it isn't as good as i hope having 15 Faith is enough. So i could spend 5 additional Points into Vit.

I'n not sure about the Reistance and Vit thing. Having more HP doen't help at all if the enemy deals too much damage. Maybe 50 Vit and 30 Resi might be an option.

And i didn't meant to copy any build at all. Sorry if you feel like that. =(

With my high stret build I'm going to become a Dragon and while in Dragonoid Form I will Dual Hand Machetes lol. It's just fun.
