    In Dks II we just need the same basic Gameplay that we love with a new Story...

    All your hopes and Dreams put in one sentence correct?

    Oh and new Lore with the old lore brightened up a little to a Very Dark Shade of Gray?

    meaning the lore isnt delivered on a silver platter but it isnt ungodly hard to find but it leans to hard.

    Makes no sense what you're saying.

    I think they will keep it similar to last game, but there will be more narrative and directive influences. I personally think there will be a greater focus on the main plot, while keeping the other parts of the lore in the same subtle fashion as with the previous games.

    I think that is the best compromise, and frankly something that will improve souls, the lore is good, but the story is weak as balls. Zero character motivation, no interesting developments, just straight line 'go there kill that'. he story needs a bit of flushing out in the next game.

    Could you clarify 'drastically improved combat'? I think it's pretty amazing down to a T. Like i've said before the combat isn't meant to look fancy, the moves are simple and effective, how fighting would really be.

    The only way i could imagine improving it is to perhaps improve the way poise works, the mechanics of heavy weapons and improving shield mechanics.

    The fact that shields are a complete crutch, and there is no extended strategy that can be developed over a period of time.

    Very true, I agree the blocking is in need of a change, sitting shield up is not skilful...

    Extended strategy? You mean in pve right? I think you can do that against bosses in the way you approach them... I dunno what could be done to make if more strategic.

    New director said he's not going to touch the controls, so there is very high chance the combat will be the same. Trailer hints in the way of improved dual wielding, but it's just a trailer...

    The boss fights are strategic, the combat is strategic, they're just not puzzle bosses (except the boc and seath, though they're terrible examples of puzzle bosses,) nor do they generally require more strategy than normal encounters, one simply has to execute ones strategy better.

    At a certain point though, puzzle bosses start to feel contrived instead of just part of the environment. (look to every mmo ever or the zelda games for examples)

    I want dual-wielding enhancement.
    Dual-fists enhancement.
    Unarmed combat enhancement.
    Necromancy.
    Less covenant,but more important covenants.
    Bank/Economic-based covenant.
    User covenant support?(Guild system) Maybe?
    Less-forgiving battles.
    More awesome boss battles.
    More original boss battles.
    An awesome final boss(es?)
    No more pendant troll.
    BS deals way less damage except with a dagger or a ultra weapon.
    BS window is smaller.
    Parry window is smaller.
    Roaming ennemis.
    Random encounters,join the roaming ennemies idea.
    Less emphasis on having to farm for drops.
    Better graphics
    More important NPC,more interaction.

    I mean in PvE and PvP.

    Basically, all offensive and defensive actions last less than a second, and cannot be chained together to eventually force your opponent to take a hit. Hits and what not are generally gotten through your opponent not knowing how to deal with a mechanic, or being careless to a specific strategy.

    This is really well shown if you just go into a PvP match, without anything but a shield, and not attack, there is absolutely no way for the other player to actually get a hit. There are weapons like the shotel for this problem, but just a slightly more skilled player with DWGR and no shield could avoid being hit indefinitely.

    It's dumb.
