Sheathing, done right! Empty Sheathing, done right!

Okay, so here's how it should work in Dark Souls II:
    -Normal stance-
Tap triangle to put shield on back/offhand stuff away(2-handing).
Hold triangle to sheath right(or left, if they allow us to choose, which would be awesome!).
    ...or...
Hold triangle to ONLY put the main weapon away(keeping the offhand out).
Now, I'm thinking it SHOULD be like this because I feel there would be a need to invade whilst holding your shield ready to block(but cannot attack without holding triangle). And it would add some RP feel to be able to walk around with your shield still out and equiped like in Skyrim/Most RPGs AND the option to have them both put up. Right?
Also, I think the only way to bring weapons back out would be to re-enter the command. So to pull out a sword, Hold triangle. I feel if you hit R1, L1, or w/e, you should act as if empty handed, so a punch would be thrown(mainly RP purpose, though it could be a safty so you don't whip out Grant and pummel an NPC when you've dropped the controller).

Thank you for reading the entire post(if ya did)!
    Any thoughts and critisism??

P.S. the more filled threads of something = Higher chance of FROM seeing and using what they saw, riight??

There should be a sheath option for each hand separately, this way, you can choose to sheathe the main hand weapon and keep your shield up...?
Maybe by holding triangle and pressing the corresponding hand button.

Sounds cool. But I would rather it be an option in your gestures that caused you to sheath your weapon.

Just unnecessary stuff mapped on the controller. . . cause problems.

Hachouma, That's what I meant by: Just hold triangle puts man hand weapon away. To put both away, first you put shield(for example) on your back regularly, then hold triangle to put the greatsword(for example) on your back.

I don't think it'd cause too many problems though. I think it'd just be likeplayer error if they forgot to un-sheath before fighting, y'know? Also, I REALLY LIKE the punch when sheathed idea... Does anyone else??

This has been discussed before and read the catagory description "Please Keep Repeat Threads to a Minimum"

Gesture menu style was the most prefered style of sheating in the last 8 topics.

Sheathing is easy. Just slip it on when you have an erection.

... and hold the tip so you don't get an air bubble.
