Ghost Blade for Str builds

If you want something very light, without Dex requirements and fast, this is the weapon for your Str build. It only weights .5 The Jagged Blade is also a good option and has more range/damage. Just looking at more options other than the Hand Axe, which sometimes weights too much, and it's easily parried. Most of the time you need a fast weapon to do the finishing job, and since Str weapons are slow, most players get too careful when their HP is low.

Yeah I always use the Hand Axe and Dark hand if I'm saving wait, but this way I could use say, a target shield and the ghost blade. Thanks for the advice!

I'd thought about trying to pair the JGB with the Leo ring awhile ago, but I never got around to doing it. You'd think with that flurry of thrusts that it'd be a decent combo though. Certainly works with Ricard's Rapier

if you use it on your off hand is good for counter backstabs too, too bad it's really weak.

i've used the jgb in tandem with a black knight ugs, its quite effective especially if you swithc to the blade whn they put up a shield due to the bleed then swithc to the ugs when they remember that they can parry.

How well does the GB or JBG poise break when you do that spammy R2? Is it any good? Might wanna go back to my long dead tank for this.

JGB must be the same as a Gold Tracer, breaks 30 poise 2H. Daggers is like 7 poise 2H.

Edit: No idea about the R2s....

But comparing the JGB to the Handaxe, the HA is for preventing backstabs while the JGB is faster for poise breaks. Since STR builds are the targets for backstabs, people would normally go for the HA. Plus the damage on the JGB is just meh and it locks you in place when doing that R2.

But if one were to use the JGB, would it fare better in the offhand or mainhand?

I mostly use crossbows on my Str builds' offhand, so I would use it on the main hand. Offhand could be useful as well, I don't have much experience with offhand curved swords/daggers besides 1 samurai cosplay I made long ago that used PGS as a "tanto".

i have used thme before but not a lot, im in the arena dual hading them right now, theyre really weak since everyone has 99 humanity but i haven lost that bad to anyone so far, the ghost blade is on my off hand and jagged on my right and dga as my back up for parries.

Hmmmm not as useful though. With the Baby's Nail I could toxic/plague you with around a 3 hits spam if your luck/plague resistance was low. Since no one levels up Luck except BBS builds it is quite easy to plague everyone. But then they'd grass if they feel it's too cheap.
