Not everyone BS spams with a Hornet's Ring. It may seem like it, but it isn't true. But, props to you for not sinking to their level.
If you want to fight people with honor, then join some chatrooms and have organized duels. Much more fun. The Dark Souls Fight Club is great for that.

Sounds like the right approach, while I aim for viability, i never let it mean i use cheap tactics or full suits of ugly armour, just not how I play.

also i think balder side sword is pretty good lol, i enjoy using it and as a buffed weapon is lethal.

I just started using the reinforced club/hand axe. They aren't that bad for something to mix it up with when it is getting repetitive

The Balder Side Sword is going to be the cornerstone of my newest dex build. I'm going to use a divine BSS and Occult Claws as backup. When I need to buff something with DMB or SLB, I'll use the Silver Knight Straight Sword. Yeah, I got this guy down.
