Re: Umm, physics
Physics like what buggy?
We've already got physics. Bigweapons swing slower, fat people cant move or roll as well, we go downward after stepping off a ledge..

Re: Umm, physics
I meant a physics engine.
A good physics engine that affects the game.

Re: Umm, physics
You're gonna have to help me out here and give some examples..
I think the physics we have now is pretty good, i mean gravity is so damn efficient people just fall through the floor

Re: Umm, physics
The physics are fine? Not sure what is going on here.
I also love that enemies get tied up in my feet. There is a certain charm to it that I love so much.

Re: Umm, physics
I think it should be improved as well, make it so that boxes and stuff fly around when you bump into them. It would be so funny!

Re: Umm, physics
Well it is the Havok physics engine, it's kinda getting a bit old now, although pretty much every game that uses it has crazy rag-dolls in it.

Re: Umm, physics
I know exactly what you mean. I think.
Yes theres physics in DkS. But imagine if it were improved to the point of being "real". Like your weapon responds to every surface every time, so you cant kill enemies through walls. Enemies losing there weight once there dead. I think every enemy should have 2 or 3 different dying animations, or just a better ragdoll built in so when they fall, it looks proper. Theres lots of little things that could be improved to add more immersion to the game. Being able to climb would be cool, nothing over the top like assassins creed, but something subtle like the way they added jump to DkS. I loved the way they incorporated jump in DkS, it was genius. Imagine if there was a regular jump in DkS, it would be stupid. Everyone would be jumping around like jackasses and it would look dumb and break the immersion. But thats just my opinion.
Heres an example of adding realistic physics in a way that most games dont make use of. I always thought that carrying the lordvessel back to Firelink Altar should have been a struggle. I mean you should have to physically pick it up and hold it on your back with both hands. So you will only be able to walk slow and every time you encounter an enemy you would have to put it down, fight the enemy, then pick it back up and continue on to Firelink Alter. I know alot of people would hate that idea because it would be a pain in the ***, but thats the point. IMO that would be realistic and very immersive.
If they could add things like that in DkS2 that would be really cool.
Okay Im getting slightly off track here.
Basically anything that is more realistic and follows physics then Im all for it.
What do you guys think?

Re: Umm, physics
Dragons Dogma has better enemy death animations, and when the big ones go down they make a satisfying thud and rumble the controller. They also remain solid for some time so that you have to step around or jump over them.
I would like that in DKSII. It would spice up mob areas as you would be creating minor obstacles every time you kill a baddy.

Re: Umm, physics
Euphoria engine for ragdolls (the one GTA IV, Max Payne 3, and pretty much any R* game from GTA IV onward)
And Havok for object physics but apply the correct mass/ weight to the objects in question.
