Why "Glass"? It has high VIT, and some clothes...

And.. why "ninja"? Besides using the shadow set there is nothing that resembles a ninja, the most important part of the "ninja" set is the headpiece, because the rest looks just like dark clothes.

I'm gonna go ahead and make you a true (in my opinion) glass ninja build, check for edits in this post.

Because of its very unprotective clothes, horrible mag defense, and 0 poise.
Also, I'm currently using Uchi/Bandit's - Going to make them Chaos(I assume this is the best option?), it's just that the obsidian is the most optimal weapon for the build. There aren't enough slots to keep a backup.

try as i might, i am not seeing the glass, nor the ninja here.

    has pretty standard vitality
kinda low on the endurance so no heavy clothing. This is the only ninja part about it though.
obsidian greatsword, how is that a ninja-like weapon?
no hidden body/ring of fog. No sneaky ninjaing to be done here.

all in all, a pretty nice build. just not ninjaey or glass. perhaps a title change is in order. I kinda like "Knight guy/gal who likes tight clothing"

That seems pretty accurate, and similar to me personally xD

Also, yes, it's a power distanced, and melee at the same time. It lacks nothing but protection. High damage output, and the ability to equip several bead/wotg.

Here is a true ninja glass. Ninja = Katana, Ring of Fog, DECEPTION
Glass = Low Health, high damage, when you have 20% of your health, switch Ring of Fog for Red Tearstone Ring, thus changing the deception for firepower. Also Sunlight Blade with 40 FTH means your Katana will be destroying worlds. Use Great Soul Arrow as a "bow", it will be your way to attack enemies quickly from a distance.

    http://mmdks.com/qdi

I understand your POV now, so I'm going to give you an advice: armor is not all, neither is poise. As a wise man once said: "Poise only matters if you get hit." On top of that, stunlocking was a popular tool when everyone used Greatswords, they were relatively medium in weight while having high damage and stunlock. Since the last patch, Greatswords can no longer stunlock, at least not as good as before.

That's why stunlocking is not more than a annoyance now, and light weapons while able to stunlock don't have big damage output. Actually, right now the most popular weapons to stunlock are the ultra-greatswords, but obviously they are slow.

Again armor is not very important, physical defense (and others) help, but not to a critical point, having 250 defense is enough to PvP. And most PvP builds that doesn't focus on heavy armor have high health, and they work great. Defenses are not all. Remember, in Dark Souls, the most important thing is your weapon.

As ninja you should always try to surprise your enemies and go for backstabs, and such.

As a final note, elemental weapons are NOT good. They only work well in PvE. In PvP, most people have high health and high defense; elemental weapons do 2 types of damage, physical and their element (fire/lighting), because of this, elemental weapons go through 2 different defenses. I will give you an example with fake numbers:

Chaos Katana: 500 Damage - this means 250 fire damage and 250 physical damage
Standard Katana: 420 damage - this means 420 pure physical damage

Your opponent has 200 on all his defenses, so:

Chaos Katana hit = 250 fire damage - 200 fire resistance = 50 fire damage goes through
    250 physical damage - 200 physical resistance = 50 physical goes through
    TOTAL = 100 total damage

Standard Katana hit = 420 physical damage - 200 physical damage = 220 physical damage
    TOTAL = 220 total damage

See the difference? The damage shown in stats in your character panel is called AR (Attack Rating), while the actual damage provoked is in fact the true damage. As you can see here, while the Chaos Katana AR is higher than the Standard Katana, the Standard Katana does higher true damage. I hope all this info helped you.

PS: You can buff Standard weapons, elemental weapons can't be buffed, so that's another reason why Standard weapons while having good stats are way better.

PS 2: I forgot to add 99 Humanity to the build, that adds you 30 physical defense.

Yeah Chiz is almost right but that's assuming you have 40 Dex. Also the game doesn't calculate damage with that formula but it's close to that. So elementals are good if you don't want to spend points in Dex/Str.

    No Dark Wood grain ring

    No Katana/curved sword

    Ninjas dont really use magic

The ninja mask is the most iconic part of the ninja.

    This is a magician.

And it's meant to be more of the optimal thief class build, I just like ninja. Calm down.

TBH it's not even optimal. The Ninja armor sucks. And you're still a magician instead of a thief. In fact...neither a magician nor a thief would use a GREATSWORD. You're just a half-assed hybrid.

...Also your choice of spells could use some work too.

Why is everyone getting hung up on what I decided to name the thing? The idea is a build that can both effectively co-op and pvp. I'll probably be co-oping with it most in anor londo, possibly the DLC areas. It'll have high damage output melee-wise due to buffing the obsidian greatsword, and also have access to wotg, bead, and healing miracles for co-op.

Problem was that you did not explain what you wanted clearly enough and the title kinda confused me at least. I thought you wanted a pure dex ninja but judging from the above post you seem to be looking at a magic tank instead.

Yep, that would be correct. The only reason I said "ninja," is because he's meant to look like one.

Well it doesn't look like one. At the other guy said, the most iconic thing about a ninja are well, shurikens that we don't have silly, stealth (Hidden Body, Fog Ring), and the mask. So, if you just want to look like a ninja you should focus on that.

Everyone is hung up on the name because that's the first impression we get of it. We read "Glass Ninja" and think "Alright. So this is obviously a ninja. And by glass he probably means like a glass cannon". It's common sense.

And as for what I'd put as your spells: I wouldn't have any because magicians are nigglers. But if I had to choose for you, I would get rid of either Sunlight blade or great magic weapon. You don't need both of them.

Actually you do need both in co-op. The idea is you can use a buff each time an invader/major enemy/boss comes along. Also, how does it not look like a ninja? The armor set being used is the exact set that a NINJA npc uses... Regardless of the weapons this build may wield.

1.) It's still a wasted slot. Unless you're some filthy ganker you won't run into 2 invaders before you get to the boss.

2.) You can dress up like a Painting Guardian too but no one will call you one if you're using a greatsword and spamming magic. And definitely not if you aren't even wearing the helmet.

3.) Why did you bring up being a ninja again? You already said you weren't going for it.

    ^this

I have a ninja I use to hunt invaders in Upper Blightown. She's decked out in FULL ninja gear, uses a black bow, poison throwing knives, dark silver tracer, and I switch between fog ring, RTSR, and i ALWAYS have dwgr equipped. Also I switch between the PGS and an Iato based on how I feel. She's pure dex and has low health (like mid-twenties) and has average endurance. I rip people to shreds if I get the jump on them.

I Also throw the hornets ring in there sometimes but I feel like its a bit over powered for Blightown. I mainly only throw it on if I noticed the invader using high end gear. Also I never use a shield.

    IMO this is a NINJA.
