I wanted to help out so bad and at first I did o.k. getting the tail but then it all went pear shaped because while the host and Solaire were wacking him, I tried to cast 'lightening spear' and discovered I hadn't equipped a talisman after I changed my magic at the bonfire. I panicked and got in too close, got sat on and died. I feel so ashamed, I hope the host forgave me and managed to beat it without me. Anyone else made a hash of things first time? :oops:

I don't remember my first summoning in Dark Souls. But in Demon's Souls I got crushed to death by Tower Knight when he fell.

First one was Gargoyle and i fought fire with fire as a Pyro!
Killed em pretty fast and the host send me a very nice RPG Style Message anything like:
"Thank you Sir! Good work with this strange Firehand."
I was very proud of that!

Mine was in the burg as a white phantom right after getting the white soapstone for the first time, still remember the excitement of seeing the "being summoned" msgs pop up. I was pretty useless and he had another summon with much better gear so I basically ran around aimlessly and then got killed by Havel I think.
Btw, congrats on getting into coop finally! It is extremely fun, and a great way to really get to know all the bosses and do some pvp at a relatively low stress level (at least for you).

I think you were very brave to make the Capra Demon your first attempt. That's one I intend to save for later...MUCH LATER!
And Befowler. Thanks, it may be less stressful but I was still shaking like a leaf. What I'll be like if I try invading I can't imagine. I reckon I'll be a candidate for the 'funny farm'.

Didn't even know about summoning till the gargoyle fight, put the sign down, 3 of us cleared the level to the boss fight , I go off the roof within seconds. Some help I was.
