It is worth buying. I played through the game five times and still play it every now and then for fun.

I've found myself wishing there was a bit more of a plot at times, but outside of that I've been enjoying it. I really like the night/day system. They really really pulled off a feeling of isolation when you're out in the wilderness at night, with no light but your lantern. Everything becomes foreboding.

Get it, the combat is fun, fluid but no dodge unless you're a certain class, which is annoying, but you can deal with it. Just prepare to run, a LOT.

Worth getting for sure. The 9 classes give a nice amount of variety in play, the story and various side missions will net you a nice 40 hours of play minimum and the combat is fast paced and a nice balance between skill and equipment/party make-up.
The story isn't that good, but has a few nice developments and is enough to be satisfying.
World is quite large, but is made to look more than it is as you can't fast travel for most of the game, and can't even get a mount etc to speed up travel, so going from place to place can become repetitive.
Overall, good combat, nice length and replay value (dunno about hard mode as played it before that addition), but travel can get a little tedious. Good first effort and well worth a purchase, it's quite the interesting new title with its own little signature.
