Ya I agree, but just about every casting is easy to dodge at a distance. Even Dark Bead, which isn't nearly as powerful when you get hit with one or two beads.

The Crest Shield is hardly ever a problem when you have Black Flame. Two BFs usually breaks their guard. The CS is only really a problem, imo, when someone is running Flash Sweat, which I've hardly ever seen.

GMB is easily defeated with pyros.

Close range attacks are a crucial part of a casters arsenal, take that away, and they might as well be using a bow.

When someone casts VoS I just throw dung pies and run like he|| while it runs its course. I prefer not to waste my "mana".

If you got some good counters and/or combos for VoS Sentiel, I'd love to hear em....granted they are casting combos/tactics.

Depends. If your talking about a Hornet Ring build, then sure. However, punishing melee is my spesheeality.

I'd be interested in fighting this anti-magic build if you're on 360, OP. I'm SL120, using sorcery, pyro, and INT scaling weapons.

I must admit that I don't have any spell related tactics to beat VoS. Even my casters have 45 Dex, so when I get hit by VoS, I just go and . VoS is actually helping me, because I prefer to melee and because it blocks my opponents spells as well.

Agree with the above; either you have a good connection, and the mage is usually toast, or you eventually get lag smacked and die.

The thing is, I notice most people with bad connections are mages. Probably they've noticed they do well with it... Should be fastest connection to the server, and the server keeping track of who's where. That way if you have a crappy connection, too bad, you die. Like most other games (CoD... I thought I sucked until they finally fixed my internet connection. Those extra milliseconds make all the difference).

I've recently been getting ganked by a large number of magicians who spam Dark Magic and Crystal magic while wearing Giants armor w/the crown of Dusk. Anyone see these @ssh0les or know what I'm talking about? I run into these dbags alot on Xbox

If I'm gonna spam you, I don't just stack the strongest spells in the game, I cast the most brutal: meaning Dark Orb, etc, and if you cast Strong Magic Shield, or great Magic Barrier, I'm probably going to stop spamming so many spells for a second.

You should be a teacher, those magic newbs need to learn that you can't break Great Magic Shield, ever.

At least the magic system in Dark Souls isn't like in Demon's Souls. If it was, I'd imagine that the hatred for mages would be much greater and people would pull out their hair in frustration!

For Ex: Out of MP? No worries! Just pop some spice and you're good to go! :/
