Havel no where to be found.
He's not in the watchtower basement. Can he be anywhere else? Or am I screwed out of his ring?

Re: Havel no where to be found.
I've never heard of him disappearing. It's very strange, did you tried going to a different area, reloading your game, and then coming back to the basement?
The only thing I can think of it's that maybe you did Undead Burg with a phantom and he killed him without you realizing it.
Really, I've never heard of a glitch like that.

That actually makes perfect sense. How about that for griefing a guy's game...kill Havel secretly so he loses the ring.

I lost Solaire due to me going a different course, reaching towards his standing point around the taurus demon (didn't kill that boss, I went threw New Londo VIA Water Gate). He wasn't their, and now I can't lay down a white summon sign for one of my characters.

Re: Havel no where to be found.
Well, he didn't for me. i summoned him at the gargoyles too before I even talked to him. Sigh, I can not get my soapstone for my character until NG+, it seems.

Wow, I really hope that's not the case but I think you may be right. I wanted to try the summoning mechanic and the dude I summoned went off without me and killed the Black Knight. So, he probably killed Havel, but shouldn't his ring still be there? I thought items don't dissapear.
I don't see the pleasure of ruining someone else's game experience. That part of the DS community is a real bummer.

Is this going to kill my game? I plan on wearing medium armor through my first playthrough.

Re: Havel no where to be found.
Sorry but that ring is gone for good. Once you kill an enemy and he is supposed to drop something if you warp to a different area or die you will no longer see the dropped item. Better get his ring in the new game (or find someone who is generous enough to give you an extra one they have).

What level and system are you?
Many might be able to drop it for you.

Don't worry, most medium armors builds have high endurance, so if you use Ring of Favor and Protection you should be fine. Havel's ring is mostly used to use heavy armors and combine it with Darkwood Grain Ring but if you are going for medium the RFP it's better than Havel's. You can easily get it by killing Lautrec.

Re: Havel no where to be found.
OP if you are in a part of the game where offing Lautrec isn't an option, and you don't get a nice white phantom to drop you a copy of Havel's Ring you do have some more immediate options.
I'd recommend wearing some lighter armor unless you can get used to fat flops and slow running. The Warrior's starter armor (Hardened Leather) can be snagged from the Gaping Dragon's room off a corpse if you didn't start as a Warrior. If you can get it to +5 or better (easy enough to do if you can get to the Gaping Dragon), it will have comparable stats to the baseline Elite Knight armor and it'll be 10 pounds less. Not a perfect solution, but one that is pretty easy to brew up.

Re: Havel no where to be found.
I'm on PS3 and I'm SL 31. I'd appreciate any help from you guys.
@Serious I have no plans on griefing. I'm mainly interested in jolly co-operation.
