    i have a lvl 14 server for my warrior and had a couple questions...

    when upgraded with fire/chaos and the properties change, does it give you 7 hp per kill? or what is the amount? and does it only give you hp on things you kill or is it like the evil eye ring and give you hp reguardless as long as something dies?

    my warrior has 25str and 25dex, how does that scale exactly cause the sword requires 24str? i'm sure something requiring 10 scales better then something that requires 24 with my str of 25...

    The Server is an unusual weapon. It restores 7 HP per hit*, and then 30 HP more if you hit an enemy again during their death animation. If you upgrade it to Fire or Chaos, "occult energies" will be replaced with "heretical energies" in the item description. No other properties unique to the Server will change. However, if an enemy is killed with fire, their death animation will be longer, and thus make it easier to get in the 30 HP death animation hit.

    Even fully upgraded, the Server only has an E-scaling in STR. It has a B scaling in DEX, however, meaning that increasing your DEX will make it deal very decent damage eventually. Neither stats matter if you enchant it along an elemental path though.


    *Even if you hit several enemies with one hit, it still only counts as one hit

    As to your questions about the properties, the HP effect of the Server triggers each time you hit an enemy. It differs from the Ring of the Evil Eye because it triggers each time you hit an enemy instead of when the enemy dies. You won't gain HP just from an enemy's death, since you have to hit something for the effect to trigger. And no, the upgrade path doesn't affect this at all. Whether it's +14 or Chaos +5, it will always be "hit an enemy, get 7 HP."

    As for your second question about the scaling, the Server actually scales best with Dexterity, it just has a very high minimum Strength requirement because it is such a large weapon. 25 Strength is actually a very good amount to have for that particular weapon, since it's just enough to allow you to weild it with one hand, but don't put any more points into Strength since it won't increase the weapon's damage very much. To start scaling the weapon for damage you'll want to focus points into Dexterity. Put points in Dexterity until your Dexterity is level 40. This will take full advantage of it's scaling and get the most possible damage out of the weapon. Don't go past level 40 though, because after that the scaling on the Server is no longer as strong, and you won't be making the weapon much more powerful.

    If you're going to do this though, you should not convert it to Fire or Chaos. Both Fire and Chaos upgrade paths remove any scaling a weapon has, so your stats no longer affect how much more powerful the weapon becomes. It would be a waste to put points into Dexterity after upgrading it to Fire or Chaos, since those Dexterity points would no longer be making your weapon stronger.

    well i'm not actually lvling my character past lvl 40 and thanks for the info, the item description on the wiki doesn't really go into great detail about some of those things like what exactly happens when it's upgraded to fire/chaos so i just had to ask lol thank you very much guys happy
