Weapons you regret making

^ No. The only way to get more boss souls is to defeat those bosses again. Or you could make a trade thread and try to find someone to give you one.

Another weapon I regreat making is Raw Gargoyel Tail Axe. It was great at first.

You can buff the obsidian greatsword but I'm KNOW you can't buff a black knight greataxe. If that were possible all hell would break lose

He said the DKGA, Dragon King Great Axe, not the BKGA.

Not really a regret, but I made the DSS but couldn't find a use for it. I also thought I could downgrade the Crystal Halberd and upgrade it another path.

I made a +3 Enchanted Zweihander on my very first character, which I had used all the way to the halfway point in NG+, even though I was a faith build.

I also had a +4 lightning Eagle Shield, thinking it would make the bash attack actually viable...


By the way, does making a shield elemental increase its resistances toward that element? For example, if I made a fire eagle shield, would fire reduction go up?

When I made 20 crystal balder side swords after hours of farming and getting the off trades from kind forum benefactors... only for 2 days later my PS3 to die and lose all that time and effort..

Despite my tendency to horde and collect everything in every game i play, i really regret using Gwyn's soul to make the GLGS.

My two greatest failures in weapon making was a +5 enchanted falchion, why I don't think I was thinking at the time. The second...and I really regret this was making all of Artorias' swords. If it wasn't for the fact that I need to put points to faith and int(which I don't need for my builds) I would use these, I really do want to try and cosplay as him at one day.

the arty swords are actually really powerful with high range, just use the faith and int reqs to gets your self a body buff like replenishment and hidden body (prevents pursuers from firing off)

I still prefer both faith and strength, just in case an enemy has high magic defense. Also, as I increased my faith scaling with it, the strength went down, is that normal?

Yes, you can check on the wiki for specific stats per shield. But there are some shields that get pretty nice resistances that way, like a magic warrior round shield +10, or a fire sunlight shield +10. Unfortunately they get no stability increase bonuses, so it is quite a trade off to make them elemental.

Interestingly, some weapons also get block resistance bonuses if they are elemental. For example, a lightning greatsword +5 gets 70% lightning resistance if you block with it, better than most shields.

Yeah, adding/increasing faith/int scaling will lower str/dex scaling. Unless it's already at E.
