    A small idea for criticals

    I was thinking that it would be cool in DkS 2 to have custom BS and riposte animations for some of the unique weapons e.g the DSS riposte might involve skewering your enemy, electricuting them and then throwing them a short distance like Ornstein does

    In any case I think that new animations need to be added because the current ones dont really work with all of the weapons (particularly the Great Scythe and Lifehunt Scythe)

    I would like them to replace the back stab with a specialized animation for each weapon that would suit its style. So every weapon has its own version of the BS. I would rather see this than the same ol' BS return.

    Yeah exclusive animations of back stabs and ripostes on every weapon type is needed, Dark Souls looks highly unfinished when doing a critical move with the shotel. I do think stuff like this is going to be addressed in the next title. Considering that every animation was redone from DeS to DkS and that the upcoming game is a an actual sequel to DkS, expect this area to be vastly expanded an improved upon (and here's hoping that the moveset of the original pole weapons return, DkS version sucks compared to this moveset).

    Its not like there were many animations to change from DeS and they still use those ones with the Hornet ring

    I wasn't really taking about those ones in particular but how every animation was either redone or tweaked between both games (mostly it was redone). With this being a proper sequel, I'm sure a good chuck of the animations will remain untouched which will mean that there will be more time to concentrate on deeper movsets and have a heavily expanded weapon selection.

    I haven't done it in a while so i forget what it looks like, but... A great scythe backstab should get the opponent on their knees and then end in a decapitation.

    A BS where you grab their head, shove it to one side, than slam your sword down in the weak point of the amour would be nice.
