It said 'liar' next to the stairs down to the 'kitchen' and then to the sewers, placed in front of a torch. Anyone seen this one or know if it means anything?

Whenever a message's rating receives a lot of votes its little symbol changes from the Dredgling to something else. The highest one I saw was a message with about 150 ratings that said, "I can't take this" in the beginning of Blighttown. It had a Black Knight for the symbol.

It may have originally been placed to address another message long, long ago, and got a lot of ratings because of that. People probably continued to rate it as time went on since its rating was already so high. That's my guess at least.

I saw a message with over 1k votes at the Firelink Bonfire and it was a picture of a primordial serpent if i remember correctly.
I find a lot of useless messages with ratings a lot, actually. I may have been relevant when DKS was first released. But....ehhh

This seems to be the case "Silly unhelpfull signs get votes and helpfull signs get over looked"Also does anyone know if you can see + or - votes on your own messages?.

I vote up stuff like that too. Because Dark Souls is not Dark Souls without random messages that only confuse new players.

On your own messages you just need to view it, I believe, to see the + and - votes. For other people's messages you need to use the 'seek guidance' miracle to see the + and - votes.

I"ve never noticed this, lol. I tend to leave helpful messages and maybe gotten 1 up-vote in all my time of playing. I hate it when I put a message down in a seemingly bare area, then right as I set it down, a bunch of similar messages suddenly start fading in...
