dark souls 2 cleaner armor&weps

in case devs read these forums can we get some better looking weapons and fresh armor? i mean, i like rusted weapons and broken or torn armor just as much as the next guy but sometimes I wana fight with style lol... id say maybe have the dirty weapons and armor but have an option to make them refurbished and returned to its former quality... was a big disapointment in the dlc when artorias' armor was all torn and fuuked up

also whats up with str weapons either being huge logs or pieces of tree trunks? wtf

There are many clean looking armors aren't there? Elite knight set, Ornstein's set, etc.
I think it makes sense that strength weapons are so... unweapon-like. If it would be more weapon-like, it'd require more dex and no longer be a str weapon.
Seeing as you're a koala, shouldn't you like logs and treetrunks?

Cleaner armor? Sure! I want my Balder Swag Armor NOT BROKEN and WITH A CAPE.

Artorias' armor was corrupted by the Abyss. I'd be surprised if it wasn't torn or tarnished.

The Souls universe is dull of darkness and destruction. If anything I want more worn down armor and weapons

There are plenty of both. Clean and tarnished armor. Let me give you a short list of a few of the clean armors:
Knight
Elite Knight
Warrior
Black Iron
Brass
Ornestein
Golem
Eastern
Steel
Lord
Favor and protection
Lord Blade
Havel's
Giants
^That's just off the top of my head

Strength weapons that don't look like trees:
Greataxe
Battle Axe
Hand Axe

Black knight axe
Manserpent Sword
Demon Machete
Butcher Axe
Golem Axe

I omitted the demon str weapons and grant, and any str weapons that didn't explicitly have scaling.

I think they should make all the weapons scratched and knicked, and generaly PoS, but then when you Quality them they go all clean.

It would be great if u could see the wear on the armors & weapons as u use them. Then when u repair them at "bonfire" or whatever it may be in DS2, they would be good as new again.

I just hope the best poise/weight ratio piece of armor doesn't look like the stupid HSW again.

Using dragon weapon strong attacks and watching them just suddenly break? Meh.

It doesn't make any sense for weapons/armor that are being used in battle to be pristine and polished. As pointed out armors like Elite Knight and Ornstein's set are "clean" while still giving a feel of realism. The only weapons you'd see that would be perfect and polished would be strictly ceremonial/decorative; weapons that never get used in combat.

I wouldn't mind having 1 or 2 sets that are well polished, possibly a bit more ornate if they for example came from a prince that never stepped foot in battle or were part of ceremonial rituals or imbued with magic. Anything that would explain why they look that way. More variety is always a good thing, but for the most part I think FROM has nailed the look of armor/weapons pretty well.

I do think they should add the cape back to the Baller Armor, though. Only change to armors I would make.

I second the retern of the missing capes and raise Ornstein's red pony tail thing that is also missing from the player helmet.

...also would be nice if Artorias set left blue slime trail when you walked around....

Armor in Dks should be torn and tattered because you arent here to be a knight in shining armor. You are in the world of lordran struggling* to survive and achieve your goal. Not to be Pimpin' in your brand new shinin' armor with a fur cape and mirror like plates with goldleaf trimming.

I'd love for armour to be more worn down personally, though I think it's unfair we don't get capes, that sucks.

I think the whole worn and rusted vibe suits, what kind of looted sword would you find brand spanking new?

Yup..capes are a must for a knight But im sure it makes for all kinds of trouble animation wize and performance.

Thats true...but then when you get the sword to a blacksmith you could get an option to fix it up so it looks spanking new..
