Re: MLG Pro Circuit PvP
lol - that's some real trolling right there.
In all my time playing this game I've never seen that headbutt.
Weapon toggle guys.

Pushes, such as the headbutt, can't be toggled out of. So on weapons which can chain their pushes together, you can't toggle escape. Headbutt stunlock is a truly infinite and inescapable combo.DMC wrote:Weapon toggle guys.
It's easy to mess up the timing over the course of a minute or two, though.

Ah I see. I always thought you could toggle out of the uchi push-lock but maybe it was just guys fluffing it as you say and giving me a chance ot roll out.
I remember talk about an another secret escape from the push-lock back in the day (from proper players too) but I never heard if it actually worked.

Re: MLG Pro Circuit PvP
Uchi pushlock alternates pushes with regular attacks, so it can be escaped. Only by chaining one push into another repeatedly do you get combos which can't be toggle escaped. Unless the combo is just too short to escape (For example, 2H Uchi Running R1 > Push > R1 can't be escaped because you toggle out of the R1, which is the last attack in the combo). The only weapons that can chain pushes together without having somebody against a wall are headbutt (fist weapons) and two-handed dagger pushes.
The other escape works via gestures, from what I understand, and can escape headbutt locks. I never got it to work, but I knew a small handful of players who claimed to have done it before. From what I was told, though, it was so difficult as to be impractical to perform.
IIRC, the instructions I got on doing it was basically that you input two gestures in quick succession just as you get stunned. This resets your animation somehow and you can then roll away.
To be honest, though, I am not sure if this wasn't just a myth invented to troll people.

Re: MLG Pro Circuit PvP
Very interesting, thanks.
That gesture escape rumour must have been the 'secret' escape I heard about.
