how good is the moonlight butterfly spear?

I prefer people to comment who have actually used it with an appropriate build for a sufficient duration of time. Spears are my best pvp weapon and so far i've been using the SKS and Demons spear both working out very good for me but i want to see if the moonlight spear will up my game another notch, any comments on it? It is a bit shorter than the demon spear but the heavy attacks are actually usable as opposed to the demon spear... But how is the damage of it at around 40 int? And how well does it chip?

As a spear-user myself, this information will be really useful when I make my first and only serious build.

uh.. it does solid magic damage so it always chips.. its a magic sks minus the dead angle r2.

actually damn i can't remember if the mlbh has the horizontal swing for its 1h r2..

i think the range is shorter then other spears, besides that its an OP spear thus its great

My favorite spear so far! I loved the Dragon Slayer Spear and even if the MLBS has a little less range is nothing that is hurting me and that shave damage really adds up in other words I'm in love with this spear. The only thing is that you must make your build for the MLBS. I have also notice that it stun locks like a champ when you two hand the sucker.

The MLBS is actually a little longer than the Spear / Partizan (or it at least feels longer to me)

If you have Int it's a good weapon, it's pretty light, and it even makes a decent offhand option with the MLGS (If you plan to do more damage with spells / mlgs r2 you can use the offhand mlbh to zone people out)

Its really amazing!
really far range nad you can poke away all day.
Also it hast the highest non physical dmg rating of all the spears, which means you deal the most dmg to shielding opponents.
Just watch out for those magic barrier users and crest shields.

I use MLBH on all my Int builds. It's a very good way to fight other spear users.

Since it does pure magical damage, it can be countered by GMB and Crest Shield, however, it is affected by Leo Ring and wearers of Crown of Dusk get extra damage from MLBH, making it an awesome weapon for Int builds to take care of casters and Dex builds.

Its the same length as the sks, just 1 step down from the demons spear.

Its not as strong as the sks, but magic defense is generally lower than physical so it deals comparable damage most of the time.

Unless they're using havels shield or the crest shield, it chips like a boss and renders any attempt to block almost completely useless.

Honestly, spears make most of my fights a joke and the mlbh is arguably the best of the bunch.

OP you also need to realize this, you will have 40-50 int with a moonlight spear build which means you get access to all the sweet spells that you wouldnt have if you had a normal dex build.

that alone makes it one of the best overall.
