The basic idea is simple: Invade as a Darkwraith using the Red or Cracked Red eye orbs (Doesn't the red match the holiday spirit perfectly?) while dressed as Santa Claus and give some spare items to all the good little boys and girls in Lordran!
How do you dress as Santa might one ask? You must be wearing the Mask of the Father and one of the fat chest pieces- either Catarina or Smough's. (Crimson Chest for the classic thin St. Nick)
Second, no weapons, not even hidden in an offhand slot. We come in peace to drop weapons, armor, upgrade stones, and consumables, not to fight. If the host refuses to trust you, the souls they get upon your death will be all the gift they need. The exceptions are the Whip- You need to keep those reindeer in check somehow- and Logan's/Beatrice's Catalyst; St. Nick has been depicted with a Shepard's crook or walking stick. You may also need them to stuff a ganker's stocking with coal; see later.
In terms of other clothing, the Crimson gloves would probably be your best bet, as well as either the festively red crimson waistcloth, the Eastern Leggings for those warm fur cuffs on the boots, or Smough's Leggings for the chubby look.
Places for Gift-Giving: Though you can do this anywhere you want, there are a few season-themed spots to keep in mind:
First, at the very beginning of Darkroot Garden there is a lone pine tree that offers ample space to leave a present (or a few).
Anor Londo has a goodly number of fireplaces that are excellent places for drop a present; specifically the fake one that leads to Havel's Armor and the Mimic, though the one in the bonfire room is another good choice.
In Oolacile Township, there is a very enticing fireplace next to the Mimic that holds the Crest Key in its mouth- the jump to get to it may prove a bit much for the chubbier Santas however, and the tough enemies may overwhelm the good little boys and girls waiting for a present so you may want to leave this out.
Only good boys and girls get presents: If you run into any naughty gankers, be sure not to give them anything but a lump of coal (Charcoal Pine resin). Dark magic counts as coal too if you really want to stuff a ganker's stocking! You can give them Chasing coal, Lotsa Coal, Really Big Coal, or Powdered Coal to make sure they have a Black Christmas this year.
Remember to be a jolly Santa: Use the Laugh emote (Square when an unusable item is slotted) when you see the host, and guide them to the place where you dropped your present. Feel free to drop it in front of them too. You also might want to drop some Prism Stones to light up their Christmas, or even engage in a snowball fight to liven up the holiday mood (Lloyd's Talismans).
This is just a little something you should do to spread holiday cheer throughout Lordran. I'm open to ideas too if you can think of any other cool Xmas themed activities for DkS.
